Hi, I'm trying to research and find out what's going on with my family history.  There is lots of colon cancer and prostate cancer, but since these are so common, I'm focusing on the rare cancer my mom died of: uterine sarcoma.  This is a different cancer than the typical uterine (endometrial) cancer that we usually hear about.  Uterine sarcoma is extremely rare (I think it's 1 in 30,000 or something like that) and I'm just curious if this could be something related to the fact that I am getting premenopausal breast cancer at age 38.  My genetics counselor told me that often with genetic based cancers, it's the rare cancers that end up telling the whole story.  So . . . she's got me researching and trying to find answers since my BRCA 1/2 tests both were negative.

Thanks for the insight, Flash.  I did look it up and sarcomas may be a part of that syndrome's spectrum. It sounds like they are not fully convinced yet, but are starting to see some trends.

HI,  read your posting on uterine sarcoma.  I was Dx with cancer of cervix, sarcoma in 1972. I had my uterus removed and within 1 1/2 yrs. later my tubes and ovaries had to come out to.  I have been faithful in going at 1st. every 6 mos. then yearly for my check-ups.  Unfortunatly I was placed on premerin therapy.  I was Dx with DCIS and LCIS breast cancer on Feb 16, 2010 and had a DBM with left node dissection and reconstruction started on March 26,2010.  I also had a skin lesion cancer removed in Nov.2004. I hope that this has been of some help to you. God Bless and Good Luck in you're research.
