pet scan

Options

okay, you guys totally helped me calm down about having three spots lit up during the bone scan.  i have accepted the  bone mets life.  now i am going to do a pet scan on thursday to see what else is going on.  i feel great, blood work is normal, blah blah blah.  i keep thinking the docs know something they aren't telling me.  i think i can handle bone mets but pretty freaked out to think that it has spread to another organ.  would i not know if my lung, brain, liver, etc. had some cancer?  i have had tons of tests over the past 5 years but this one is really freaking me out. thanks!

I had a pet scan with my first diagnosis. Al; that lit up was the bones for me. 3 spots. I do not know if you would know something or not. i did not even know I had bone mets. Just wanted to let you know that we are here for you.

I'm having a bone scan tomorrow.  Having pain in my rib and swelling... My DH is really freaking over this one.  My chemo was stopped prematurely in December due to painful side effects...  It sounds all so iffy even if they see something?!  Is the only conclusive evidence via a biopsy?

Sorry to have to join this discussion, but glad you're all here to help me through this.

My sister also had an area on her chest wall light up.  Her dr team isn't 100% sure it's mets.  She had a bone biopsy last week and we are anxiously waiting for her results.

    Good luck!!!
