    Hi Karen,

So sorry you are having to deal with this. Your news is not what you want to hear... but none of this stuff is welcome news. Now your doctors know what you are dealing with, you're not in some ambiguous grey area where decisions have to be made with inadequate information, and you are going to  dive into treatment with a whole team fighting for you.

There is so much available in the way of treatment now that wasn't here even a few years ago. And you have found a  great place to come for comfort, information and support.

    Good luck and hugs.

There are many women with positive nodes who don't have a recurrence, and then others like me who are stage IV with clean nodes.  I'm with alison34 - I wouldn't get too hung up on the nodes :>  Best to you!!!!

    Hi Karen,

Sorry you are having to go through all of this.  Even though all my preliminary scans came back clean (except for the breast area) I indeed had a lot of node involvement (13/15).  For some reason I was not surprised when they told me although the amount certainly freaked me out.  For some reason I kind of knew there was something going on there.  So, no it's not what you want to hear, but as my oncologist told me after surgery---I do not have cancer anymore, they got all of it in surgery, but I DO have the "seeds" of cancer in my body and now we have to treat them to prevent them from "sprouting".

Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

    Sharon :)
