Molly,
I havent been on the computer in a couple of days and just seen this post. I am so sorry you are not well. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
-
I'm worried, too. Don't have a clue how to find out either despite her living close to me. Wish we all had an emergency contact number.
-
I was thinking the same thing - hope she is OK. We don't even know her full name.

Thanks so much for all the support. Although I have not been able to read all the posts until today, I have felt your support and caring. I was hospitalized (in Hendersonville, Weeza) until Sunday for IV antibiotics to clear up the infection before attempting surgery. Now on oral antibiotics and hoping they'll work. If not, back to the hospital. I see the surgeon Thursday for direction re surgery then may get 2nd opinion at Duke to factor in any part cancer and tx. may play in this. Still really worried about my low weight and low white blood counts...ie low reserves for fighting any complications from this.
Several of the nurses at the hospital told me I am one lucky girl to survive the rupture with so much delay getting to the ER. It's true except the word "lucky" rings pretty hollow having this happen right on the heels of breast cancer.
Feel like I'm sitting on a ticking time bomb until the appendix is out. So it looks like we'll have to cancel a cruise out of New Orleans next Friday...DH's Xmas gift for a week in the Caribbean before my 1st post-tx mammograms/exams. Damn, I'm so depressed.
Thanks again for your vigilance and caring. We take the next step and the next...
-
Molly! So happy to hear you are "OK"....I know you aren't, but I am sure you are better than you were. I am so sorry about the cruise, hope you can reschedule.
Let us know what you find out on Thursday. Take care of yourself, and rest up.
-
Oh how crappy to miss the cruise! That itself is bad enough....gentle hugs.
Sorry to hear that you still don't have the appendix out, and I can see your concern about the blood work. Very scary all around, but thanks for posting and letting us know.
You are still in my prayers...pretty close to the top.
-
I have been thinking about you alot and wondering how you were doing. I am sorry things havent went so well for you but hopefully will improve soon. Reschedule that cruise and enjoy every moment of it. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
-
Molly...thanks for the update.....hoping that you continue to improve and only hear good news. Karen
-
Molly, goodness, it was good to hear from you! So sorry you will miss a wonderful cruise and still have so much going on physically. In the first few years after my cancer diagnosis I had 17 surgeries related to my cancer or side effects of treatment. They were all at Pardee, Park Ridge or Mission so I have the skinny on various treatments and doctors around here.I have lived here since 1977, too, so PM me if a wise old crone could be of help to you.
Keep in touch when you can. As you can see, we are all world-class worriers here.
-
I am so sorry about your hospitalization and cruise....glad to hear from you.
Sandy
