Nancy, you changed your name! How did I miss that one????
-
Since I am Grandma, I decided a new name. How r u doing?
-
I'm fine! Can't wait to hold my own grand one....sigh.
-
Wait ... I did start to read some of the posts Lucy and Barbe are upset over ... I felt like I was on a pre-teen's facebook. I could only read a little bit of it as it was ridiculous. We're grown women, for goodness sakes. Quite frankly, I will continue to go to any thread where someone wants to celebrate or has a birthday I will especially go on one asking for support, to pray for someone needing help or encouragement, or condolesces to the families of our lost sisters.
We're always going to have differing opinions ... let's just agree to disagree. Love bunches.

Fang doctor is going to put some resin bond at the broken place. Not enough tooth left to replace the crown. The worst case scenario is the tooth will break more and have to be pulled. We had a very nice discussion, no blaming or should haves. I go back Friday to get the fix as she wanted enough time in case it does break completely and she would put a temporary to get time for an oral surgeon to pull it. Did I mention I just hate going to the dentist?
Happy Mardis day. Hugs, Nancy
-
Oh hey Nancy. I didn't realize that was you either until someone mentioned it. Sure hope your little granddaughter is getting along better.
(((((((((big hugs to all you dustbunnies))))))))
-
Nancy, I too got misseled by your "bco name" change.. what are we like!! Can we blame it on long lasting chemo brain?!
Good luck with the whole tooth bussiness, deeeeeaaaryyy me that does nottt sound like fun!
Take care, hope it is all history by next week for you.
Coonie!!!!!!!! Got your great card lovey!!!! and I love the song, DD and I swayed along to it this am at breakfast, it's lovely. Thank you so much, you do spoil me! You have great cards down your way!!! DD and I will go choosing a suitably wonderful card for you when we can go out alone together, easier then with DS who is a wee bit below par these days, just tired I think.
ohh, I have just been told that we are going smimming later, boy best get some caffeen in me. DH is off so we can do that, sweet of him to take the 3 days off for half term.
My macmillan nurse is coming over on Tuesday to "check me over" prior to my onc appointment on Wednesday, she's going to help me organize my list off further health issues to put to onc to get max tests done, so I can get sorted.

Hugs to all you bunnies!!! Have a wondermous Wednesday!
-
Hi all: Hugs before I forget. I HAVE to clean, clear out, as I am moving in 6-7 weeks !!! 3 book shelves cleared off, one load of laundry done. I am doing enough for everyone else - just bring me a drink in an hour or 2 -- LOL !!! Rum and coke is my preference.
Found this quote, no author given:
I have done SO much, with SO little, for SO long
That I can do almost anything
With nothing
In no time flat.
-
Mum ... have a wonderful time ... what is the exact date you will be back on the boards so I know how long we will have to suffer through.
Nancy ... I hate the dentist too! Once I went to a new dentist and when I got home my aunt asked how it went. I said he says everything is fine. My aunt asked why I was frowning to which I replied any dentist who cannot find a problem in my mouth isn't a very good dentist. BTW, my bridge failed the next week!
Shiny ... here's to finding out what's wrong and getting it fixed!
-
Dusty Bun hugs to all.
P.S. this is NOT me.
-
Hi to all the dust bunnies. Today I will be making up for any and all who are "sluffing off" with housework. Got several plastic bins to start sorting and stacking in preparation for moving. And they were on sale. This way, they can be stacked in my garage and not get wet if the car drips any of that white stuff.
Tomorrow will be MY no housework day with dentist appointment then Bingo. Hugs and Blessings, Nancy
-
Man...I leave for a little over a week and everyone's changing their names!!!! geesh!!!!
Ohhhhhhhhh Nancy.... I bet you're soooooooo excited!!! To be moved in and situated of course!!!!
Hope mum is having a terrific time!!!
So Sharon are you de-aging....lol Sharon 50 instead of 51?
Shiny...how did your appointment go????
Barbe...I can't wait for you either...to hold and look into that little one's eyes....mmmmmmmm nothing like it! I guess yesterday my dd and my gk's were at the mall and the little one who just turned to said, "Mama...Arnie misses me" lol Actually I was recovering from having had them all day the day before...lol I would never tell her that...my little sweetums... Trent is excited that my hair is getting longer and he gave me a belated Valentines day gift and told me I was the best "Arnie" he ever had...lol soooooooooooo precious!
Anyway, hope everyone is smiling and has a blessed day!

LOL, you are the first to notice Arnie. I think I'll knock off another year every now and then
Good to see you Sistah.
-
rofl...I just "quacked up" when I saw that .... maybe I should be arnie39...hehehehe
-
-
Arnie!! You are 1 sharp bunny, noticing the 50 for sharron, what rrrrrrrr we like. I was just wondering how you were doing this a.m when I looked in on the bunny thread. Now I remember that you had needed a wee bit of bunny r and r. Glad to see you back! Hope you have a few more days of rest before your next lovely done of grandkiddlets, you do need to look after their Arnie!
Not results yet, getting my cervical spine MRI and my ECG and blood test results on Wednesday (onc) but then more tests to get to the bottom of other complaints, so full ct scan is likely the next step. Anyhooo, it will take some time to figure out, but we'll get to it in the end, it will probably be a bunch of totally manageable stuff. I am now preparing for upper tribunal thingies and annual review for my DS's special educational needs, so my focus is not too much on the health thing, but I am getting on with it.
got to dash!
xx

I don't know what I have been doing all day that I am just getting to the Boards!
Arnie -- it is so good to hear from you! Isn't it funny how something you did 24/7 a few years ago just wear you out!
Coonie -- always happy to hear from you - thanks for the card - I loved it! You are such a dear.
Shiney -- Isn't it annoying to feel lousy and it will take them so long to figure it at? Good luck with your DS meetings.
-
So great to catch up with everyone--name changes a d all. LOL!!!!
Tonight's our last night at the ocean -- then a visit at my parents on the way home to our inland FL home. I have another month down here before I go back to "work".
Just got a call from DD1 and she slipped and fell on their driveway hill getting the mail on the frozen rain.... She thinks she may have broken her wrist: yikes!!! I guess I won't complain about the unseanably chilly weather here.
Love and hugs to all...... -
Faith ... is she going in to get an x-ray. I pray it is not broken. In honor of Faith's DD, everyone gets out of housework this week. If the poor little thing broke it, no housework for a month.
My sister fell three times trying to clear the driveway ... she said thank God she fell into the piled snow so no real harm was done.
-
Arnie, hugs to DD1...Hope it is only a bad sprain........
Miss you all...It has helped to take a day or so away........i am still grappling with Kbug's death but i feel I will be alright soon.......I am sooooo scared to go Monday for my MRI..It feels like deja vu all over from 3 years ago.......I have this big What IF stuck in my head!.....Someone please talk me down!.......I am in panic mode now.......I am sooooo SICK of this freakin disease!......Does it ever get any better??...I haven't told any of my sisters or brothers, only my family here........I don't know what to say yet...I guess I will wait til after I get the results and then maybe say something if it's bad news adn say mothing if it is good news.........You guys are my lifeline here......I love you all very much....... -
Good morning Lucy! I am so glad too see you posting again. I'll pray everything comes out clear and I am sure it will. Take a deep breath. Relax. and before you know it you will be reporting a clear MRI. ((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) We love you too, sweet angel.
-
Thank you for your concern while I was at Hotel de Princess Margaret (hospital). I went in with severe pain in my lower back.... after a few days of increased meds I was feeling better but we decided that rads were the answer to feeling better permanently. I have to admit that the hip and the lower back feel just fine. It is fatigue I am battling now... I have to watch what energy I use and how that costs to a few days of non house keeping due to snoring on the couch. LOL.
-
My DD did indeed break her wrist... She's really a wreck. Whacked her elbow and shoulder too and has her fore-arm in hard cast and arm in sling.
Her DH is off flying w Air Force -- so she has the 3 kiddos by herself. Her twins moms club are showering her w help on rotation. One came last night bringing dinner and giving kiddos a bath.
It's "good" we are so far away, because I'm in no position to be carrying them around.... But of course I am very concerned -- battling the guilt of not being there to pitch in.
Send some prayers.
((((((((((Lucy))))))))) -
Faith, you remember lovey. ."guilt is OPTIONAL". You can still be a great help you know from afar.. whilst everyone from the baby group comes around, she'll be mrs chirpy, and making the best of things, very grateful a wee bit embarrased from the extra attention, but then she can get a call from you at night, when all the kiddos are tucked in bed, and she can have a right old winge and moan about how tuff her day's been or how aching her arm feels, and YOU, you can make her feel like she is THE most important person on earth at that moment and really hear her and understand from afar, in a way that only a mum can do. Also, as you are on the phone, she doesn't have to even get out of the bed to "visit" with you. You can be her comforting release at the end of her days. That is precious, my mother's sure done that for me brilliantly from very far away indeed.
Dream writter, i've not been too "switched on lately" sounds like you've been having a heck of a ride. Glad the rads are helping, enjoy the couch and "sod" the housework. ((hug)).
Lucy, Your situation, or rather your dreadful stress about "the waiting thing" requires some emergency, luxury ice cream, silly movie, scented body cream and rainbow painted toe nails, if that all fails..early spring..cleaning!! What ever it takes to keep you distracted and occupied. Monday's nearly here. 1 day at a time girl.
thinking of you ALL.

Lucy it's good to see you posting again. You will be in my thoughts tomorrow.
Dream I'm glad your hip and back are feeling better now. I hope your fatigue goes soon, meanwhile just get plenty of rest and absolutely no housework.
Sharon congratulations on becoming a year younger! What a good idea.
Faith it's great that your DD's moms club are rallying round for her. Try not to feel guilty, as Shiny said you can still help in the way that only a mother can, even from afar.
Shiny I hope you had a good half term week and that your preparation for the upper tribunal stuff is going well.
Even though it was half term I did work 2 days last week. I was doing some marketing for the college in a mobile unit outside in the market square. I enjoyed it although it was very cold. We have had quite a bit of snow again here. Just when I think spring is coming all the spring flowers that are trying to come through get covered up by snow again.
Hope all you dusty buns have a wonderful week. xoxoxoxo

Good morning Dusty Buns.
I absolutely must do housework today or risk being overcome by dog hair. I wish I had the hair follicles of my dog!!!
