Congrats also to nancy724 who finished yesterday Kiss. Nancy sent me a PM but hasn't posted here in a while as she's so been so busy juggling her three young daughters and chemo. She still has to continue Herceptin and like many of us also has to undergo radiation.

    Congratulations Jean Kiss

I was already smiling since I finished chemo last week. Then yesterday I had my six-month mammogram and got the all clear so I was smiling even more broadly. I could see the images on screen as the technician was working and saw a large cloudy white area in the lumpectomy area so I was a bit concerned. But the radiologist came in afterward and explained that was just typical scarring after surgery.

Today I went to my local Gilda's Club for a session of laughter yoga. It was great. If you have the opportunity to attend a class near you, I think you'd like it.

The brainchild of Dr. Madan Kataria, a Physician from Mumbai, India, launched the first Laughter Club at a Park on March 13, 1995, with merely a handful of persons. Today, it has become a worldwide phenomenon with more than 6000 Social Laughter Clubs in about 60 countries.

Laughter Yoga combines Unconditional Laughter with Yogic Breathing (Pranayama). Anyone can Laugh for No Reason, without relying on humor, jokes or comedy. Laughter is simulated as a body exercise in a group; with eye contact and childlike playfulness, it soon turns into real and contagious laughter. The concept of Laughter Yoga is based on a scientific fact that the body cannot differentiate between fake and real laughter. One gets the same physiological and psychological benefits.

Wow!  You have a busy week at work and the girls type of 4 pages of fun!  Congratulations to those that have finished recently.  One finish line closer to kicking this thing!

Michelleboots -- you make me laugh.  Thank you!

Meridith  thank you for catching up.  We were worried

MarieK  & Suz - I'm jealous that you have fun trips ahead.  However, not so much so that I don 't wish you a wonderful time.

JoJo -  Able is a great name for a rottweiler.  As long as he doesn't have a brother named Caine...

Ladies as usual you have lifted my spirits.   Had a dopey argument with the hubby this evening with much slamming of doors and a big cry.  I decided to catch up on the posts and it was exactly what I needed.

oh, I almost forgot, I went in Monday for my radiation line up (or whatever you call it).  I was supposed to go in for my trial run today but the center cancelled.  Not due to the 9 inches of snow in Dallas - Yes, Dallas, TEXAS - but because the center didn't have power.   I will go in Monday for both the trial run and my 1st treatment.  I guess I will feel a bit like Val when I am done holding my hands over my head for the 45 minutes to an hour I will be there.   Can I count it as excercise -- weight lifting or something?  Wink

    Thanks again for being there!

Hello again,  Yes I will start rads in March.  Hopefully this is an easier road. How has the first set up session gone for everyone. I am not looking forward to it..

val- you will appreciate this.  All this time of chemo and appointments, I have had someone drive me to Boston (I only live 20 minutes away).  For my nulasta shot I decided I could handle driving in myself,,,,I must know the way I have gone there enough.  --Well I was wrong.  I got lost twice, ended up near the State House crying. I knew if I was a bird I could get there by a straigth line but not by car.  Luckily I got a phone call at just the right time and my friend was able to direct me to hospital....what a way to end this ordeal!

Jean, you may have gotten lost on the way but you got there...proving again how strong we can be...even if it is just a drive by ourselves to a new place..I hate this ride , but I know now how strong I can be...

    Good Morning!

Looks like we are ALL starting to emerge from the chemo cave!  Husband and kids just left for the dunes.  Quick trip, they we come back tomorrow night.  I did not go because I am still a little off.  Plus, my vision is not very sharp so I would not be driving my rail anyway.

Left here in the house, just me and Mr. Fabio (my beautiful bulldog)!  I would like to say I'm going to go out and get crazy, but I have some mouth sores that are driving me nuts!  Hopefully the medicine will kick in today.  No sense in going out for a nice dinner when I can't taste anything!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

Yay for finishing chemo, jeanl!!!!!!!  And Yay for making it to the next step!!!

Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?  I'm going out on Sunday - my DH is taking me out for our first Valentine's Day, he won't tell me where though!!  Somewhere we've never been before, he says.  I bought him a coffee mug that says "Wild Thing" on it :).

I am starting to pull out of the post-chemo funk, finally.  Either that, or the pot of coffee I drank this morning is giving me plenty of energy!  Either way, I'm not lounging on the couch.  A fun day planned - we're going to do our taxes, hooray!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

woo HOO ~ I am feeling better too.  We are actually going out to dinner to a nice Italian restuarant tonight for VDay with 2 other couples.  I FINALLY got my free Francelux headscarf and it is so beautiful !  I am going to wear it tonight ~ it is such beautiful silk and a colorful paisley print.  Tomorrow we leave for a week in Vermont.  Hubby and the kids can do some skiing.  We have a house up there, I look forward to reading a book and relaxing with my doggies.  So glad chemo is OVER - Congrats to all who have finished, and the those who aren't done yet.  We will be waiting for you at the finish line !

    Hugs ~

    HI ALL

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO ALL MY SWEETIES

Yep I'm feeling fantastic as well, i think its in the mind as well knowing that we have finished chemo yeah .

Sam asked me if i wanted to celebrate Valentines day and i said no i have  been thinking about this for a couple of days and Valentines day is to show your partner how much you love them ah? I was thinking  since  the day i was diagnosed Sam has been there for me 100% emotionally and  physically, i Carnot complain about anything  he was FANTASTIC and we have grown so close through this its a weird kind of respect thing ,so i told him no, i don't need one day for him to show me his love and that the way he has been with me through all this has been more that enough to show me just how much love he has for me , oh I'm sorry  getting a bit soppy now .

    ALICIA

JoJo- I absolutely know what you mean!  My DH has been so fantastic throughout this entire ordeal.  He has taken such good care of me both physically and emotionally.  He is so loving and caring.  I do not need some day for him to prove he loves me.  He shows me how much he loves me everyday.  BC has brought us even closer together (if that were even possible).  We have been madly in love for over 20 years.  I am so blessed by him.

Happy Valentines day to all of my BC sisters!

Thanks for all the good wishes. I can definietly visualize the happy dance.  I have been doing it in my mind since I finished. It is all sinking in that the chemo leg is done. Just have to get through these last se's. What a great group of woman you all are. Hopefully radiation will be alot easier on us then the chemo.

Congtats jean and nancy on finishing.

    Happy Valentines Day to all.

Last night I went to a Brazilian carnival party for a couple of hours. It was fun. I was tired from chemo, but made myself get up dressed and out.

    Take care.

I have had swelling in my right hand -slight but for a long time. Then last week I wore a couple of bracelets on my right arm and it was noticeably swollen - when I took them off it was down by the end of the day. I am assuming I should hop on this right away - just wondering if I have company - what's cording? Valerie
