Happy Valentine's Day to you, too! I woke up to my smiling 5 year old standing beside my bed with the card he made for me at school and we had a nice long snuggly hug. Such a nice way to start the day!

Happy Valentines Day, my friends!
A Valentines gift for you all -
I was wandering around Trader Joe's yesterday (Gosh, I love that place), and an older guy starts talking to me about how he just wants to buy all the chocolate but his wife wont let him! He says "Jeesh -she is trying to save my life!"
So she comes over and says something funny and I say "Well, I have couscous and quinoa!"
She says "Well, here is a healthy snack for you - you should buy these edamame crackers?"
Usually at this point I just would say "oh really, thanks" or something but I said "No, I am a breast cancer survivor - I avoid soy products"
Well - that started a conversation. She asked me how long, about soy, etc, etc. And then she says.....
"My mom is a 41 year survivor. She was diagnosed when she was 41 - it came back when she was 54 (I am assuming the other breast). The second time they gave her tamoxifen for ten years. But she is fine now and living in florida"
Don't know her stage or anything but you can bet she didnt get chemo or much else for that matter. God bless her.
-
And hugs and love to all my friends here!

Happy Valentines Day to all.
And to the chocolate lovers I saw a show last night that talked about the anti-oxidant benefits of chocolate. It's good for you! Eat away!
BTW - does moderation mean you only pig out a couple days a year instead of once a week?
-
Happy Valentines day to everyone**** ((((((HUGS)))))))

My dh just brought me a Hershey's extra dark chocolate bar with Blueberries and almonds. He knows how to cover all the food groups.
Hope everyone has a great day.

I've had all my best Valentine's Days since I've been married:) So happy to be married to my wish-come-true! Last year we drove up to Big Bear (about 40 min. from my house) the back way (it's a dirt road that hardly anyone uses up the mountain through the forest, it's fun and beautiful). Anyway, it had just snowed and we got stuck!!! Our cell phones had no signal, we were really cold and were really unprepared:/ After a couple hours of praying and re-dialing 9-1-1 over and over and over, we finally got through for about a minute and I just started telling them where we were. I still didn't know if anyone heard me or not, and just kept trying. Well eventually, a search and rescue helicopter came and flew us out of there!!! That was one Valentine's Day we never will forget:)

Happy Valentines Day to all of you ladies!
