Hey Susie!!! Your hubby has already met Karen from Portland! You sillyhead Karen and I headed the TaTa Sisterhood Komen team. YES WE CAN DEFINITELY PLAN A REUNION!! WOO HOO!!!
-
Well now, Is't Bryan the lucky one-I didn't get to meet her yet & Now I remember you telling me,Another good name for me is "DILLWEED" I called myself that today & got a few laughs
I totally know how to relate with the Blonde/Senior moments/Chemo Brain-that's sums up me in a NUT SHELL LOL LOL
My turn....HOO HOO WOO WOO!!
-
Thanks to all who are planning and researching. I know it can't be easy since not everyone can be there. I love the idea of the condos, but truthfully, it doesn't really matter where we are as long as we get to be together.
Susie, both Kristina and I are in Washington so if there is a NW reunion, you could definitely count us in!

Hey Susie...I am so glad to hear from you....Hope you and your family are doing good. Have a blast in Vegas.

Just to add my two cents worth.......whenever and wherever you all decide to go is absolutely fine with me.....except maybe in a tent.....I definitely don't do tents....... Just to be together is what we want!!!

Say hi to the Flamingo for me!
-
I didn't have a chance to read everything but just wanted to share this e-mail I got a while back:
Sandy, We remember your group and are so pleased to hear that you had a great time! We would love to have you come back for our 3rd Annual Paint the Square Pink. As of right now, the date is Saturday, September 25, 2010. Please let me know if you have any questions and we hope to see you next year! Thanks,
KatieI could e-mail and ask if the date changed...
ok back to work for me
-
Sandy, I had just emailed her and got the same reply...so I doubt they will change the date.
-
A Portland mini sounds good! Maybe some of the gals from Seattle would want to come down.
I'll stay anywhere in Vegas--I don't gamble or drink--so those things don't matter, I just want to meet all of you. I do have to be aware of finances....
Hugs--Karen

Can't miss this again. Sign me up!!! My birthday is 10/16 so I will expect a lovely birthday song if it ends up being that weekend!

PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH THE 3 OF US WE ARE JUST TRYING TO MAKE SURE WE GET THE BEST RATES AND LOCATION POSSIBLE!! Tracey and Deborah (and sorry I don't remember who the third person is who is working on this) -- just wanted to say THANK YOU for taking this on and for all you are doing to plan this wonderful trip!
Lilah

Deborah, thank you and Peggio for all the hard work. I have a question once you get a block of condos reserved, how long will they hold them for, also what is the down payment for the reservation. last year we had to pay one night for the reservation to be held. Last question, once you pay the down-payment, what is the cancellation policy in case something happens between now and September/October.
I think we once again are going to have a blast in Vegas....

GISELLA: RE: Booking at the MGM Grand Signature, here is what they told me:
A payment of 50% is due at the time of booking with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. We would greatly appreciate it if only one card is used per booked room. You may cancel up to 30 days prior to arrival for a full refund. You may cancel up to 7 days prior to arrival for a full credit towards a future stay.
I think we need to get everyone on board as soon as possible....book all of the rooms we think we need. One person can assume responsibility for the room rate and get reimbursement from others in the room. If there are some who need to cancel, there will surely be others coming in at the last minute to take up the space.
-
Thank you Deborah that sounds good. Did they tell you how long they would hold the block of rooms for? Tracey said she should have other rates and information next week.
Hope all of you have a great week.

Just sending a shout out to our ladies doing the work to secure a place for us to stay- Thanks for doing this! You are very appreciated.
-
Gisella: We need an idea of how many junior suites, or how many 1 bedrooms or how many 2 bedroom units we need. Once I have a head count and an idea of how many groups of 8 or groups of 4 or groups of 2 Tracey has thus far - I will ask them to hold that space and find out how long they can be held. I sort of need to know how many people we have going at this point...
-
Packer--checked out the pictures from Reunion 1.5. Looks like you all had a great time. Can't wait for number 2. Am waiting on pins and needles for the final date as one date works for me and one doesn't. Yikes! Keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed!
-
If it is a group of 2 or 4 is $199.00 per night plus tax, that is for a 1 bedroom? How much is it for a group of 8.
I am hoping I understood this correct, if not let me know.
Thank you very much
Hugs

Gisella: I calculated all of this and here goes....
Rates were quoted for the 1st weekend in October.
MGM Grand Signature
1. Junior suite [studio, as pictured on Page 3 of this thread, Has 1 bathroom.] $154.00 per day plus tax. [This room is going to be a little larger than a standard hotel room.] Sleeps 4.
2. 1 bedroom suite $199.00 per day plus tax. The 1 bedroom units have 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. Sleeps 4.
3. 2 bedroom suite. $353.00 per day plus tax. There are 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. This combination sleeps 8 people. [It works out to around $45.00 per day plus tax per person if there are 8 persons]
All rooms have free wi-fi [which we have to pay for at the hotels].....
-
Deborah, are the rates at the MGM Grand Signature any higher for the last weekend of September, Paint the Square Weekend? (I have a conflict the lst weekend of October...sniff...sniff).

JUST WANT EVERYONE TO PM TRACEY TO LET HER KNOW THE DATES YOU ARE AVAILABLE FOR VEGAS THIS YEAR. WE ARE TRYING TO COME UP WITH THE BEST DATE BASED ON THE RESPONSES. SO FAR, ACCORDING TO TRACEY, OCTOBER HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE THE MOST POPULAR MONTH. AS MORE COMMENTS COME INTO HER, THIS "MONTH" PREFERENCE MIGHT CHANGE. SO, THIS IS WHY I OBTAINED RATES FOR OCTOBER. RATES EVERYWHERE GO UP STARTING THE 2ND OR 3RD WEEKEND IN OCTOBER. IT IS IMPORTANT TO LET TRACEY KNOW YOUR PREFERENCES.
THANK YOU!!!
-
I will say.. even though we will get NO SLEEP..LOL....
I would prefer to be in a 8 person room... I LOVE the togetherness....I will PM Tracey this...
-
I am unsure if I will be staying at the signature. I can actually get a room for half the price at the grand ..... probably because I have stayed with them twice and spent alot of money lol or should I say lost a lot of money!
I will wait and see what weekend it is and the final price before i know for sure.
Teresa

OK DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....................THE DATE FOR OUR REUNION IS OCTOBER 1-4TH!!! SO MARK THOSE DATES!!! I HAD AN OVERWHELMING AMOUNT OF YOU RESPOND, AND THAT SEEMS TO BE THE BEST DATE FOR THE MAJORITY.
THE LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED!! WOOOO HOOOOO. PLEASE KNOW THAT THE ROOMATE LIST IS NOT WRITTEN IN STONE IT IS MORE OF A HEAD COUNT. TRUST ME IT WILL CHANGE AS THE MONTHS GO BY.
