My sister works for Roche and thinks that Avastin could be of help for our 84 yr old mother with triple neg stage IV IBC.  So far taxol has not helped and mets are progressing.  Does anyone have any experience with Avastin + other chemo for IBC?

    I am not a TN but the chemo's that I had are A/C, Taxol, Gemzar, carboplatim.

    Mario--I was recently diagnosed with Stage IV and started Avastin and Abraxane last week.  Avastin is a good choice for stage IV (and is only available to stage IV).  I finished Carboplat and Taxol in December and they found 12 small + mediastinal nodes on my Pet Scan 2 weeks ago... since it was so soon after Taxol, I switched to Abraxane (which is in the same class as Taxol, just a different drug).  Not sure if that helps, but I just started it so we'll see.
