Would you believe 22 positive nodes and 23 years? Because I was diagnosed in 1986, before the HER test became available, I can't be 100-percent certain that I was triple neg. But my oncologist is 98-percent sure because I fit the profile so well: I was young (37), ER/PR-negative, and I later found out that I'm BRCA2-positive. So, for what it's worth, that's my success story. Laughing

Just a reminder also like Renahen, my first breast cancer was in 1987 and second in the other breast was in 2003. First was stage 1 second a stage 2. Twenty three years and counting, I am doing great, and yes ladies my life is back. I come here to tell you there is great hope and many women go on to live to old age. Remember 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Many, many more survive this desease then die from it. Survivors are all around us....I have to come back to remind you new folks. I know many women with multiple nodes who are still around like Renahen. Forgot to mention I am TN. If you are stage 1 or 2 your odds are fabulous. Sure your going to hear the few that come back with mets on these boards but thats why these dear ladies are here for support. Many doctors will tell you to stay off these web sites, I can tell you that coming here is not for sissy's you are going to be hearing some sad stories. Why did I come back, well my daughter was diagnosed at 34, 6 months after my second diagnosis and she had breast cancer in both breasts. She is now closing in on 6 years out, She chooses not to visit this web site and I respect her for that. Twenty three years ago i was part of a support group of 20 women. Only one of the group has passed. The others are just growing old, now we talk about our retirement.
