    I lost my LD recon after a multiple skin recurrence and had a replacement tram diep don in Dec 08.  Last year my onc found a lump in my other boob and last month I had a toal abdom hysterctomy for suspected ovarian and uterine cancer - all results benign! (Phew!)

    I have been very excited about starting the new year fresh and positive and decided to do a breast exam on my recon side, as haven't done one since the all clear!  I had a lot of scar tissue which has disappeared entirely from one side, but (I'm not sure if this is my imagination) seems more predominant than ever on my armpit side.  It feel like a 3.5 x1.5cm ridge underneath the skin along the scar.  It is very hard and immobile.

    Has anyone else had this after a year?  Is it normal or should I be concerned?  I'm not due to see my onc again until July, but after the last 2 years can't face going back on a whim...

    I had that ridge you're talking about. Felt like a finger lying under my skin. Had an u/s and the radiologist blew it away. So.....

    Me too!  I was freaking out.  My onc told me that she was going to schedule an Ultrasound and when I got the appt. it was for an Ultrasound/Needle Biopsy.  I totally freaked.  Expecially since my first needle biopsy was horrible.  The Dr. took 6 samples.  By the third one I wanted to kick him where it would hurt!  They were really nice when I told them that I was really anxious about the test and the technician got the Dr. right away.  He came in and found nothing and told me so right there so I didn't have to wait a week.  The good news was that there was nothing to biopsy...just nasty scar tissue.

    i also have an area of scar tissue where the auxillary nodes were taken. at times tender. my oncologist and surgeon check it every time i go and see them. this march i will have an ultrasound in the area to check it out. any scan i have had over the years has not shown any concern for cancer.

    I did have a US on it last July, but I think I got alarmed when the other side had dispelled compltely, but this seemed worst than ever..(probably by comparison...)

    I was told it usually goes away...Have you all still got yours?
