Pink Glove Dance video
A friend just sent me this link to a You Tube video ...it might lift your spirits! I hope it is not against the rules to post this link. The music was great, and the spirit of cooperation among the dancers too.
Emily (MacInnes) Somers, created, directed and
choreographed this in Portland last week for her Medline glove division as a
fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. This was all her idea to help
promote their new pink gloves. I don't know how she got so many employees,
doctors and patients to participate, but it started to really catch on and
they all had a lot of fun doing it.
When the video gets 1 million hits, Medline will be making a huge
contribution to the hospital, as well as offering free mammograms for the
community. Please check it out. It's an easy and great way to donate to a
wonderful cause, and who hasn't been touched by breast cancer?

Bumping up this topic. I love this video, it never fails to cheer me up. Maybe some haven't seen yet. Heads up, tho, watch with tissues, it always makes me cry (while laughing). Reminds me of all the people who are there to help.

I love this video, too! I watch it whenever I need a pick-me-up. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who cries while watching it!! It's such an uplifting video, that friends who don't have BC don't quite understand why it makes me cry. I think it's the "you won't be lonely...even if the sky is falling down" lyrics while dozens of people are dancing... for me, for you, for us! Hospitals are often really unpleasant for us - full of painful procedures, annoying paperwork, problems with scheduling and communication, scary questions and decisions, etc. So it helps to see a whole hospital full of people instead just smiling and cheering us on. Sometimes when I'm at my hospital and having a hard time, I picture all the staff members around me breaking out into song and dance like that. Sounds kinda silly, but it helps!

Add me to the list, makes me happy everytime I see it

Bumping for those who may need a lift tonight. :-)

Geez Anne, you live awfully close to my sister! She is in Lake Oswego, we've stayed in a hotel in Tigard when we've visited her! She has a friend Anne.....
I heard the video song at work and couldn't for the life of me remember where I'd heard it....hehehe
All I knew is that the words "down, down, down" had some visual meaning to me. Took days to figure it out!
