armpit pimple or recurrence

Have it biopsied -- do not wait.  Do NOT let any doc tell you it isn't necessary.  I am NOT here to scare you, but my dear Mom was dx'd Stage IV with bone mets about 4 YEARS AFTER bringing the armpit "pimple" to her doc's attention.  He insisted it was an infected/ingrown hair folicle (even when she continued to point out it wasn't going away.)  The day after her hip replacement necessitated by bone mets, they excised the "pimple" and, yep, it was a bad lymph node.  This was 17 years ago, so it might not have made a difference, but you CANNOT and WILL NOT ever convince me of such.  My mother was very "health aware" and I see this TOTALLY as her doc's fault.  My Dad never said anything, but never went back to that doctor again. Mom had just turned 65 when she passed.  If a diagnosis 4 years earlier would have given her even 5 more years, she would have seen her grandkids start school, gone to their dance recitals, and gone to Disney World with them.  Instead, when all those things happened, I inevitably found myself hiding in a bathroom and crying so my girls wouldn't see.  If you need a reason, do it for my Mom.
