anyone taking Zometa to prevent bone mets

Is anyone taking Zometa to prevent bone ets? I know there's a trial going on, and I recently heard that some women are on this protocol as a preventative measure.

Hi Vickie. There are a couple of threads starting by women in this trial. I will begin this trial in a couple of weeks. There are only two left...one oral and one IV. Hope this helps.

I'm on the trial (see my signature). I was assigned to the oral form, clodronate, about 2 months ago. My onc was encouraged with the trial and highly recommended it to me.
