Help....my mom gets pain on left side of her body.
Hello
I am new to the website, I am here becuse my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in her left breast in 2005, it was stage2. She has gone through surgery and her left breast is totally removed also she went thorugh chemo and doing very well. She also did chemo therapy after the surgery, and then she was aksed to take temoxyfin (spelling??), after that now she takes Anastrozole, per her oncologist she needs to take this medication for another year and half. She goes for her checkups regularly and every 6 months she has to do dexa scan (spine and hip bone) and other tests like liver function test, complete blood test, She has been feeling fine but almost 9 months back she started having pain on the left side under the rib and pain in the bones of the left side like ribs and shoulders, also burning when she urinates and feeling of very tired after urinating, so everything was checked by a urologist and everything was normal. after few days all these went away and she was normal again. then after 4 months the same thing started. so her orthopedic Dr said maybe it is a side effect a medicine she was taking for bone so they stopped giving the medicine, again her urologist gave her medicine maybe a week later she was normal, now exactly after 4 months the same pain has started (it is happennig every 4th month), but this time there is no burining when she urinates that is gone. all that is there is pain on the left under the rib and maybe in the bones on the left area, she also says that she feels tired when she has the pain, she gets feeling of vomitting when she wakes up in the morning (but never thorws up), legs feel heavy.
she has gone to doctors about these pain but they are saying everything is normal. I am very scared and worried if something else is going on maybe the cancer is spread or something. My mom lives in india and I am in the US. Doctors there say everthing is normal.
Is there someone who can tell me if these symptoms are realted to something or if someone has experienced similar symptoms (why are these pains coming back every 4 months like clockwork). Are there any tests that can be done to find out if the cancer is spreading or to make sure it is not....Please help I am unable to concentrate on anything all day my brain is just thinking about this. My entire family is with my mom so she has great support from everyone.
Please reply....
Jay

Did she get any scans? - it the scans were clear, it is probably not cancer.
