Deb, I checked out the pictures at multiply, it looks like you guys had so much fun. Thanks for sharing.
I made it to church last night and it was rockin, filled with the spirit. I left feeling so much better. DH built me a really pretty rock sidewalk to roll the wheelchair all the way to the car. My daughter took one of my puppies and called wanting to know if I would sell the other one (no way) someone saw hers and wanted one.
I am just gonna rest here today with you guys and maybe do some hiking tomorrow. I love all of your company. I missed estepp but I hear she is doing good.

I saw your weather on the news, you must have power, a lot of ppl don't even have power. Looks like you have a lot of spring clean up to do. HUGS

Yep, hearing it on the news here in Chicago too. Those pictures are amazing Spar yet in a strange way they are so beautiful too. Heard many are without power and now I can see why. Stay safe and warm today.

OK I just lost my entire story to you girls but will post it a little later. My computer was corrupt by GOD and the GEEKS know what! As I don't and the entire thing had to wiped clean- I didn't lose anything as I don't keep files on my laptop. It is funny however, because in the past I was very irritated and impatient about the repair ,but this time I was so calm and patient---like a different person- maybe it is the Mountain??
-
Hello mountaineers, love the springtime pictures. So glad to have electricity. It is so funny how we take all these modern conveniences for granted, not no more.
Melissa, man, I was looking forward to a story from you. Glad the mountain has calmed you down some. LOL
Hope all has a good day. Gonna take a hike later.

Looking out at the blanket of white comforting snow, we decided to wait in the chatel for a couple of days. The weather made a beautiful scene but we were comfortable ans dry. As we poked around the place we had the feeling that the Mountain Guardian was expecting us...we looked for her but she was not there. There was a fully stocked kitchen and I decided to make a batch of sticky buns- everyone found the supplies to make one of there really good dishes and before long we were singing old songs and it was a scene out of the "Big Chill". It was fun and we enjoyed our time in the kitchen.
As we looked around we felt a presence and settled for the fact that the White Owl was in the tree outside the living room window. The scene was beautiful and we enjoyed the warmth of the fire and we took turns stoking the fire. We made smores and sang more songs and then we played dress ups , just like when we were kids, I had on a turquoise blue hat with a large brim covered in ostrich feathers the same color. My dress and shoes matched and the dress was made in the style of Mae West- I could barely walk between the spiked heels and the dress being so tight at the knees. Everyone was making fun of me as I traveled into the front of the room to do my best Mae West impression. Spar had me laughing so hard I actually peed my pants and then they teased me that my water had broken as I ran down the hallway to my room to change clothes. I was laughing all the way!
Upon entering my room I was delighted to find that it was pained a pale spring green with the floor boarder of hand painted flowers- each wall was different- but only a different view of the same garden- one wall was spring, one was summer and the 3rd wall was autumn- what I discovered was that the view of the fourth wall was total windows and looked over the garden depicted on the other walls. It was a stunning way to display the entire year for seasons. There was a faint smell of rosemary, spearmint and eucalyptus in the air. After taking in the sights and scents of my room for a long minute I heard a change in the sounds coming from the living room, Besides, I couldn't wait to tell everyone about my room because I knew each of them would have a special treat waiting for them.
Upon entering the living room i could see that cause of the delight as Spars new puppy had shown up, and the our other pets started showing up too! It was like Show and tell from our grade school days. All the animals got along and we had even more fun. After a hour or so the puppy feel asleep and it was like a que to the other pets that it was time to rest. After the pets quited down there was a calming effect that came over the group- it was then that we noticed our Mountain Guardian was in the room with us. She was sitting on a stool near the fire place and there was a gentle golden glow around her. She was smiling and said "My children I see that you are rejuvenating and happy- that pleases me greatly and is what I intended" we looked at her as if she had every answer to every question and did exactly as she told us. " Now my children you must go to bed and rest as I have important tasks to tend to. - As if hypnotized we wandered down the hall- each of us wanting to make "our little mother" happy. It had been a full day and she was right, it was time to rest.
