    I will remember that
to find the joy in rainbows...
    I must endure the rain.
And I will remember always that...
    while I may have cancer...
    cancer does not have me.

    Hi everyone,

This is a very nice conversation.  Be sure to read the quotes in the very first post that started this conversation. I stumbled upon it searching for comments about Dr. Jerri Nielsen and her book "Ice Bound", which I think I would like to read.

    Take care,

    Mary Jo

This is my advice villanelle for english class:

    FIGHT LIKE A GIRL

    Fight like a girl.
Giving up is not option. Remember
    Never, never, never give up.

    Go. Stand on the frontline.
Find the strength and courage to
    Fight like a girl.

She needs you. Be by her side and say,
    "No matter what happens, we'll
    Never, never, never give up."

Find the faith to lose the fear,
that stands in the way for you to
    Fight like a girl.

This is not her death sentence, this
is her life sentence, you must push and
    Never, never, never give up.

    This is it. The fight
    against breast cancer is on.
    Fight like a girl.
    Never, never, never give up.

Breast cancer is like being admitted to this wonderful sisterhood none of us wants to be in but we are all here for each other.

Two of my favorite quotes lately:

Optimist: someone who figures that taking a step backward after taking a step forward is not a disaster, it's a cha-cha. ~Robert Brault

‎"Cancer is not a detour in life. It is life. Why do we think we're exempt from getting it? Why should everyone else get cancer and not me? Why do other people lose loved ones in tragic accidents yet I've been spared that? Life in this sinful world is cancer and tragic accidents along with joy and sheer delight all mixed in...that's life."

Having had cancer, one important thing to know is you're still the same person at the end. You're stripped down to near zero. But most people come out the other end feeling more like themselves than ever before.
    Kylie Minogue
