at the top of the reply box is a task bar with a tree (next to mr. smileyface)

you click on that tree and 'insert image' box will pop up.

paste a URL of your picture into the space that asks for the URL  (add description if you want)

click in  the size box (it will automatically fill in).  i use a picture hosting site like photobucket which will store photos.. any old site will do.  you have to paste the ADDRESS of the picture in..

 then hit 'insert'.

This is a picture of the farmette we trying to buy.. keep your fingers crossed.  all we need to do is sign the final papers.  (the house is HUGE and totally unfinished.. lots of work for my excited carpenter builder husband)..  .

Oh ladies, be careful on posting pics. I am new to the Board and computor geek and I dropped in a photo I had saved in Photo bucket. The URL that cam back was infected and yesterday my computor crashed completely. We traced everything-It comes in as a trojan virus but it is a ghost scheme to market a spyware product. I could not unlock my computor until I "bought" the product. In the meantime, my files crashed and today we spent five hours trying to get me up and running. I notified BC.org. The friend who traced the bug has top level gov clearance on their geek squad and she was able to trace it to "Internet Security 2010." Do not open this link or google this company-this is just for your info and a way to identify source if you get infected. SV

With all due respect, StillVerticle, this is not necessarily a legitimate claim that is in any way linked to Photobucket. That particular virus has been around for a while and is picked up in a variety of ways, but there is no credible evidence that photobucket.com is connected with any computer threats.

In fact, here is Symantec's report for photobucket.com:

    photobucket.com

    Summary

Norton Safe Web found no issues with this site.

    •Computer Threats:    0
    •Identity Threats:    0
    •Annoyance factors: 0

Total threats on this site:    0

No offense taken. If others are using the photobuck URL w/no problem excellent. I am saying this happened to me on Sat when I downloaded a URL from the photobucket site. I was hit with the Super Spyware 2010 virus. Don't know if something 'piggybacked in'. I had to hire a geek today to the tune of over $300 and five hours of work to get my computer - debugged. He believes virus camein on that URL. I have had my computor as a professional photog for over a decade ($10,000 system) and I ship all over the world) and this is the first time it has ever crashed-like ever! I lost a lot of photos-like in the 1,000's. But if it works for you all-awesome!!! Go for it.I feel absolutely comfortable in my skill, my friend's skill and my geek to TRUST THEM  as far "what happened" and as far as my computor goes. Again, this is just my experience and maybe a fluke-but I stand by my info. Again I notified BC.org (got an email back from them) and I am sure they will investigate and allay any fears. Good Luck! SV oh. and my Norton and my AVG was registering no threats when my computor crashed and no threats during all of it. Had to install new virus-ware, etc. I guess point being, we all have choices and I will not be using photobucket URL again. MJ

gosh.. Hope i didn't start a ruckus.  I've never had a problem but would be loathe to accidentally infect anyone with a virus..
