    Hi, all,

Researchers at Miami University are looking for biological daughters of moms with breast cancer, to interview for a research survey they're doing. Their announcement is below, and I wanted to add my encouragement to all of you to please help them out with this. (And, hey -- go for the Chocolate Chip Frappuccino!)
    Thanks!

Amanda Ginter, a graduate research assistant to Dr. Elise Radina from Miami University, is conducting a new study which looks at the adult daughters of breast cancer patients. She is looking for women between the ages of 18 and 25 whose biological mothers were diagnosed with breast cancer in the last five years.

Participants will take part in one-time face-to-face or telephone interviews with her in which they will discuss topics relating to their mothers' breast cancer experiences, family relationships, intimate relationships, and health concerns. These interviews will probably last 45-60 minutes.

Participants will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card for their time.

If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Amanda at ginterac@muohio.edu or at (513) 687-7258.

    Thank you.
(This study has been approved by the Miami University Institutional Review Board [09-099])

Bumping this to update it, as the study has now been extended to include women ages 18 to 30 whose biological moms were diagnosed within the last seven years. If you can help, please call the above number. We can all use information about how to help our adult daughters cope, and the information can also be used to establish programs at cancer centers to address these needs.

    Thanks!
