i am not ready to die yet !!!!! i have 6 kids and i do enjoy life  i am so devastated right now i don't know what to do !!!i am tripple negative i had cancer 2x with 1 reccourrance just had a pet scan now it show i have lung mets ...have not seen the onc yet appt set ......is there any treatment for me i am so scared i am leaving here PLEASE SOME ONE HELP !!!! is there any hope ...i don't know what to do !!!!!! how do you stay strong stay focus keep hope ....is there anybody in my shoes please help me i don;t know anybody who survive this or living with this lung mets ...is this the end for me !!!!!

    Tyra, someone will come along soon who can help you. I am not triple negative, but saw your post.  I do know that there are women living with lung mets.  Perhaps going to the Stage IV forum will help.  They will see your question and come quickly to your aid.  Also, remember that this is the weekend and sometimes the board is not as active.  So, please don't give up if you do not get your answers immediately.

    Tyra,

    Take a deep breath.  In and out.  You can be fine.  I too had triple neg BC that 4 years later spread to my lungs and lymph nodes.  With radiation and chemo, we disappeared them all.  You are not going die any time soon.

     You have every right to be scared.  You don't want to leave your children.  But I'm here to tell you that I'm NED since late last year and my CEA scores predict remaining stable for the next couple of years.  Same can be for you.

    I am so sorry Tyra.  I've had cancer twice and I've had mastectomies to prevent a third time.  Each cancer was different - not a recurrance.  But in a stupid way I am afraid that because I chose to remove my breasts that now if it comes back, it will have no where to go but to my lungs, bones, etc.  We are all a special bunch aren't we?  I agree with CarynRose ... take a deep breathe, take joy in what you have and it will be fine.  You have six beautfilu kids to live for.  That's more than most.  I am 39 - had cancer at 35 and never had kids.  The year we wanted to try was the year I was diagnosed.  And now?!  Not a chance.  Chemo twice, radiation and on and on.  You have a blessed life - enjoy it.  Meet with your ONC, talk about your options, make your decisions and continue to LIVE.

    Have you read this remarkable thread from Kathy36? She's been at Stage IV for 17 (SEVENTEEN) years: her cancer is just not advancing. She is an inspiration: an author, and a world traveler. Of course, you have every reason to be scared out of your mind, but you will be able to regroup and come out fighting.

    Hi Tyra, I was in a similar position this past Spring, when a CT scan showed possible lung mets. Naturally, I was completely freaked out. It turned out to be a nasty non-malignant infection from one of the treatment drugs I had taken. I was lucky that time. Have they done a lung biopsy yet? Although terrifying, I hope you can preserve your resolve and conserve your energy to be in the best possible shape to fight this battle and win the war.
