My Group Health patient information on Glutamine says 10g 3 x per day for 2 weeks then nothing for 1 week for Taxol once every 3 weeks.  This can be either powder or tablets.

For weekly Taxol, same amount for 3 to 5 days; for bi-weekly Taxol, same amount for Week 1, then nothing.

I was planning on doing Glutamine, but am enrolled in a study to test another supplement, so will be doing that instead.  Hope this helps.

    i took B 6 - SIX.. with glutamine.

I think the dosage that Claire gives is appropriate.  I noticed that  the glutamine seemed very helpful.. I only took it the first 2/3 of the week after my weekly Taxol.

I'm a pianist and really didn't want  neuropathy.  I noticed that when I ran out of the glutamine, i experienced tingling.  Fortunately I didn't suffer.  (a year later I am experiencing mild symptoms but that might very well be related to carpal tunnel issues).

I don't remember the exact dose, buy my onc recommneded how much L-Glutamine powder to mix in liquid (I think it might have been 2 TBS 3x a day?) She also recommended Vit B and I can't remember if it was B6 of B9, but I do remember that whatever she recommended was the opposite of what I was reading on the internet.
