Purging Anesthesia

Options

I've just had my third surgery (and hopefully last for awhile) and I want to find out the best way to purge my body of the effects of anesthesia without effecting tamoxifen.  Any suggestions?

If this has been discussed before, feel free to point me in the right direction.

Thanks, Julie

Julie, I was just thinking about how hard it has always been for me to recover from anesthesia and what I would do now if i had to--definitely i would drink tons of water--I have been drinking a half gallon of water a day since I started chemo (that's 8 -8 ounce glasses) and thru radiation (ended Wednesday) and I plan on continuing that to help me recover from the surgery, chemo and radiation.

Eating 3 meals a day helps plus if you can walk each day, that also helps.

    Good luck!

Ah yes, that makes perfect sense.  I was thinking I'd need to do something complicated but just the basics should be a no brainer and the right place to start, course I needed somebody point it out.  Thanks Cowgirl!

Hey Julie, get lots of liquid in you-I mean gallons a day! Try to mix water with a little chicken broth. Body can overload on water alone and nausea sets in. I also eat very small meals during the day-high protein. But bottles of fresh water with a little lemon (if acid doesn't bother you) are sitting everywhere I sit in the house. I am drinking several liters a day-like stale ginger ale mixed with water, etc. Good luck, SV
