Hi Guys,

I just really need some help. As some of you kind ladies may know I had a core biopsy on my LEFT breast for a solid 7mm nodule and it turned out B9 FIBROADONEMA (negative for cancer) thanks God. The core biopsy was done 1 1/2 month ago. However, I still experience discomfor on both of my breast with sharp pains every now and then. But the LEFT breast is definitely more sensitive than the other one.  The LEFT breast is where the FIBRO was discovered however it's small so I wonder why would it cause any paing?? As well I have pain and discomfort on the LEFT arm and my left hand has this tingling feeling in my fingers. I went to my family doctor and he does not exactly why I'm feeling this way as he says it coudl be many things. Hes' referring me to a Breast specialist but of course with the holidays and all the appointment has not been made as the specialist's office does not open til Jan 4th next year..that's just great as  probably my appointment will not be scheduled for another month or so. Now, could my symptons indicated IBC (Inflamatory Breast cancer)?

I'm very concerned as I have never experienced the arm pain before and the sharp pain either, before the biopsy I had pain and discomfort but nothing in the arms...It be great if you anyone who has knowledge about IBC could provide some advise ..I'm driivng myself crazy and  can't do anything till I see the specialist...I'm very frustrated and worry...I'm only 34 and have 2 little kids to look after. The only history of breast cancer in my family is my mom't first cousin (my aunt) who passed away at 40 with breast cancer.

I did not have any arm pain or hand pain.  I did have a lot of breast pain - sharp shooting pains - I think it was the nearve endings getting squeezed...

Good luck to you on your appointment.

With the arm pain and tingling I would tend to think more about an issue with your cervical spine (neck).  I am not sure why the breast pain, however.

    Best of luck.

Ok the arm and tingling has gone away but both of my breast are tender and the left one a bit more sore especially in hte underwire area (this just started 2 days ago) and I have this burning sensation on both of my armpits..I don't know if the cysts are causing all this in my breast or is it linked to my next period as it's scheduled to come around Jan 10th but it's still a bit far away...Or could this be IBC? I dont' have no rash or inverted nipple or increase in size in either breast...help please..

    duceliaz:

With IBC everyone's symptoms are so different so it is hard to say. I had none of the symptoms that were listed for IBC. The only way to get the correct dx of IBC is by a biopsy. You may want to get a second opinion when calling I would ask is if this doctor has ever heard of IBC.

    Hugs

Hello DuceliaZ, I have IBC, and had 2 biopsys done. Well it guess you could say it was actually 3 done. I had pretty much all the basic IBC symptoms. The first one was on my lymph node under my right arm pit (the side I was having trouble with, the right breast). The 2nd & 3rd were to the right breast itself. Right under the nipple & @ an inch straight down from the nipple. The one under the nipple was kind of like he cut the nipple 1/2 off..took tissue out from under it and sewed it back on. The one below the nipple was more of a skin biopsy. Where he just cut out a chunk and sewed it back shut. All 3 places showed cancer. But that was the only way to tell...was the biopsys. Hope this helps you. Good luck. Good thoughts your way.

Thanks Leisa for your reply. What were your initial symptons of IBC?

DuceliaZ, My initial symptoms were...reddining of the breast(large area covered most of the breast), heat(became very warm),sharp stabbing pain right behind the nipple(like someone was stabbing me with a knife, very infrequent),weight(felt like it gained 5 lbs, that breast only),dimpiling(looked like an orange peel when you pressed your fingers against it). My nipple also inverted. These were my symptoms. I know from reading on here the some of the other women did not have near the symptoms that I have had. I seem to have had all the clasic symptoms. I was lucky that my family dr. knew what it was. He was the one who initially told me that I had breast cancer. Even before any tests were done. He was completely right. God Bless his sole. He passed away from a heart attach a week after he diagnosed me. I owe my life to him. I do not think anyone else would have been addiment about it. Good Luck & God Bless. If you need anything else let me know.                Leisa

Well, so I finally I have an appointment with my doctor for Jan 18th ( 2 weeks away..better than nothing I guess) so I'm still experiecing soreness, burnng sensation on both of my breast but more on the left where I had the biopsy..I honestly get so nervous reading all the IBC info on hte net as pain and lump are symptosm of breast cancer..I have a B9 lump based on core biopsy but heck I read those could be wrong unless you do an excisional biopsy..so now I'm nervous...I'm growing really impatience sorry that I vent here but I guess I don't want to stop writing unless other women expereince same symptoms as me...the pain has been going for about  2months lump and no other symptoms so far..

I guess my question is would I have developed any other symptms by now if I had IBC??? Anyone out there that experience similar situations as me..pls your advise would be GREATLY appreciated

Sorry as well is it normal that hte area where i had the core biopsy on hte left breast is tender  and sore after 1 month..

Thanks so much..I read the bio which is pretty detailed..that's great info..

I'm honestly traumatized..dont' hate me people...but I have cysts in my breast, they found a fibroadenoma (B9 tumor) on my left breast after the core biopsy, which has left me left breast more tender than ever..everyday I seem to discover something (I guess after all this I'm just more cautious when I check my breast and I get to feel everything) yesterday while checking my armpit I found a small cyst or lump on my right armpit..now I dont' if this is nomral due to my breast history or if it's another thing to worry about..ahhhhhhhhhh..it never ends..

Well my pain is better..it gest worse around my period.

I went to the specialist and he said I have fibrocystic breasts and according to him that would explain my pain.
