Flying with titanium clip - will I set off alarms?

Did anyone face this? Titanium clip was put in my breast in November; I'm flying to Mexico in two weeks (lumpectomy when I come back). I can't find anything on the TSA site about tiny clips. Will this be too small to set off alarms? Thanks in advance!

they are too small to set off the alarms, they are about the size of a grain of rice. Although some women but not all who have temporary expander implants with the larger metal ports have reported problems.

I have titanium in my wrist after a bad break last December (08) that needed surgery to fix.  I have flown many times since then and I have not set off one alarm.  My clips are not that small (I saw them on an x-ray) and I have had no problems of any kind.  Hope you have fun in Mexico... take care that you don't get too much sun... it is soooo hot there this time of year.

Thanks, everyone. I feel better. The TSA site has some info on travelers with medical implants and devices but nothing specific about titanium clips or breasts. Will watch for the sun (I'm very pale anyway). It's kind of a dumb time to go (unemployed husband; early cancer diagnosis) but it's also a GOOD time to go (see above).

Unemployed husband, early cancer diagnosis? If anyone needs a vacation, it's you.

    Enjoy!
