Prayers for my Baby

Praying for Killian's good health and happy birthday. Praying for Jen....such a strong and generous gal. The energy level in the waiting room is incredible and so positive. Hoping for news soon.

I remember being starving too. First of all they tell you not to eat so you won't puke and you can't eat anyway because there is no room for the stomach to have anything in it. I remember that the hospital was just about closed when I gave birth to my first kid. I was actually the last person ever admitted to the hospital, and the cafeteria was closed and the food machine was empty. I jokingly told my husband that i wanted 6 burgers (the small ones) and some fries from mcDonald's. He didn't know I was joking and actualy brought me what I had requested. I ate all of them (altho i started with only 3) - a couple hours later and they were all gone. The doctor made so much fun of me, which i thought was really rude since the nurses gave me a laxative so.. well you know. and he had no idea what totally empty meant.
My husband always took care of me because hospital meals are so puny. (odd that I couldn't eat anything after my breast surgery and I was scolded for that).
here's to you Jen.. hope you're holding your baby and ecstatic..

Thank you all so much!!! He is perfect! Very pink and healthy. Weighs 8 pounds and is sound asleep in my arms. I haven't stopped crying since I gave birth:)
It tool 12 hours to get him out though I was w/o any pain until the had to push-that made chemo a walk in the park.
He ate and well that broke my heart b-c I couldn't nurse him. That is going to be hard as I have only nursed but working through it.
Thank you again for all your support, love and well wishes. Couldn't do it without you guys!

Amazing. Enjoy that sweet baby smell - I loved it. Ohh and the cuddles. what a truly magical time. Also, be sure to let the nurses take care of you a little bit.

Wonderful news, Pure!!!! There is nothing more miraculous than giving birth to a healthy child. Watching and reading all the messages here was just like being in the waiting room and pacing. Healthy baby. Healthy mother. That's what it's all about. Hope you sleep well tonight and never have to worry about your baby's health (or yours either) ever again.
-
Congratulations, Pure. What a special child this is. Rest easy, now, and know that tomorrow will be beautiful.

What a pleasure to spend these past few days on pins and needles anticipating the birth of this child. Thank you Jen for sharing your special moment with all of us......everytime I checked in to see how things were going, I just had this big grin on my face and a swelling in my heart. Mazel tov!
-
Wow Pure, what wonderful news to read this morning as I go through the threads. Congratulations.
-
Congratulations Pure. I'm Greek and in my language the wish for a new birth is "hope to live" meaning "to live perfect...".
-
Congratulations Pure and family.
