Yo Killian....let's get this party started.....

Jen ~ Checking in to see if boo boo baby is here yet. I was just like you with our 4th baby, then when contractions were real I ended up having him 15 minutes later, from the time I was in the bathroom taking a shower. Barely made it to the hospital, and never saw the labor room. Suddenly, while in the bathroom, I must have dilated completely and the head was there, and my DH drove like a maniac to the hospital and barely did he make it into the delivery room when I was pushing my son out. 15 minutes ! from shower to delivery room! And the funny thing was that I had seen my obgyn earlier that day and was told "in another week" go home and have a glass of wine and the contractions will stop because my cervix was not yet even efaced.. Came home, had a glass of wine, layed down and watched TV. Went upstairs to take a shower, suddenly felt urge to go to toilet, nothing, got back in shower, felt like I had to go potty again, got out, nothing, got back in shower, and suddenly I had an incredible urge to push, and realized the baby's head was right there.. Got out of the shower, got to the hospital, barely, with the head crowning as I got to there they brought me right up to delivery. He was born within 5 or 10 minutes. So, lady, you can go any time now.

Ah...baby-birthing stories. How refreshing on this Stage III BC board. I love the diversion.
Jen, any news? We're all hoping that the quiet means you're off to the hospital.
-
What you DON'T want to hear while hauling your prego butt into the car while having contractions and living 15 minutes from the hospital........"Oh no,..we have to stop to get gas!" :O I thought I'd have my son in the backseat of my parents car,...all while my mother kept turning around and saying..."stop that!" (I was already pushing,.lol.) yeahhhh,.ok Mom,..I have control over that,.*rolls eyes*. Come on baby!!!
-
Just checking in to see if we have a baby................
-
I'm thinking no news might mean baby news....
-
Im thinkin the same Kerry....
*exciting*
-
now that's a thought
-
Its candle light (shabbat)...will be back tomorrow night....Jen hope you are doing good.....
Hugs and love Karen
-
There is such a "hen house" quality to this thread right now.......love it!
-
Jen, has Killian arrived yet?.....I see you logged in an hour ago, but did not post.....Is everything alright?.......Hope you and baby Killian and DH are doing well........
-
I can hardly wait!! My third was quick like Shanagirl. I had contractions for an hour or two at a time off and on for 6 weeks. When the time came it was 20 minutes from first twinge to birth!
Jen, hope you are feeling comfortable. You are almost there. Maybe you should take your computer to the hospital with you and we can all be your birth coaches.
-
No news yet.....Thinking of you Jen!
-
Bet she's holding boo boo Killion as we speak!
-
No updates on her FB page, either. That must mean she's at the hospital.
-
My third was pretty quick, just over 3 hours. What you don't want to see when hauling your prego butt out of the car is a sign on the front door of the hospital that says, front lobby closed, please walk around the building to the emergency room entrance. I also should have pre-registered, because standing at the counter while in full labor wasn't fun.
I love this hen house.
-
Does Billynda have a thread? After we are done here, we should meet for her. Her little one is due very soon as well.
-
I found Billynda's thread, she started it yesterday. I am trying to link it. Let's see if I can.
-
Jen logged in again today but did not post...I'm getting pretty antsy. Can't walk past the computer without checking.
-
Jen - thinking of you............hope you're comfortable and doing okay.
(((HUGS)))
