Help for my mother

I am new to the board and trying to get information for my 57 year old mother. May 08 she was treated for a breast infection where they had to cut open & drain infection and gave her antibiotics. It went away. Then Nov 09 she started to get the symptoms agian. Swelling , redness, inverted nipple, lots of pain. We brought her back to the hospital and they told her she had another breast infection. They did a ultra sound buit couldn't see much because of the infection. They gave her antibiotics and told her when it cleared up she needed to come and do a mamogram. It was gradually getting better and a few days after she finished the antibiotics then her symptoms started all over. I brought her to the dr agian and they did a ultrasound and the dr saw something she said. I asked her what she thought it was and all she said was " It isn't infection" . My mother has no income and we have to bring her to a charity " state runned hospital". Last time we went they said it was infection and scheduled her for the first opening for a mamogram which would be June 2010. When we went the other day they wanted her to do one that day but couldn't fit her in until this Thursday. They are doing a mamogram and some kind of detailed ultrasound. Then she goes back in another week for the results. I am worried because all the symptoms point to IBC but she would get some relief from the antibiotics for a couple of weeks. The first time she went a whole year with no problems. Every time we go she sees a differnt dr but this time the dr said when we come back to please ask for her. Please give me some insight here? How common is it to keep getting breast infection in the same breast???
