I just found this thread, thanks to Elizabeth's note on the Stage IV forum. I just wanted to say that I have a catheter that I had put in the first week of November. I drain it every evening, usually get about 350-400 ml of fluid. That's every day! It's a hassle, but it makes a huge difference in my confort level. My right lung is totally shot - they tried putting a catheter in it, and the lung would not reinflate. This was back in July.
I just wanted to tell you that this is something you can live with, and it really does help in your comfort. There is still a lot of shortness of breath, like walking from the kitchen to the bathroom, but the chest catheter helps a lot.

Dearest bugsi,
Just heard tonight that you weren't doing so well. All my prayers are with you dear. I hope you can get up and walk a bit, it does help the lungs. I am so sorry that I haven't kept up with boards. But I will make up for it in prayers tonight.
Bugs, please remind the Lord that there are a lot of your sisters praying for you... He needs to listen. May you rest well and may the pain flee.
Love you much,
Sed

KBUG, I have not known you personally, but I have heard of your struggle for some time now, through mutual friend on BCO, I don't get on here always regularely, but wanted you to know that I have been praying for your comfort, and some respite from all the pain. Just so you know, lots are praying, not all are regular "posters" but the prayers get sent up, just the same.
I do hope you get some releif very very soon and some rest with it. Thank you for your Daughter's update, prayers will keep coming.
