    Hi masser,

Looks like you came to the right place, we've all been there to some degree, and can understand your troubles. I had bilateral mastectomies and have alot of nerve damage, plus lymphedema. If you need to talk you can talk to me or anyone on this website. If you are trying to find something locally I do not know how to advise. I live in the US. I am glad to hear you are two years in remission :)  Here's to 50 more!

    Take care,

    Dee~

If it makes you feel any better, I've had exactly the same problem here in the U.S. I wish I could give you some productive suggestions but I have none other than to come here. My local Gilda's club tried to start a LGBT group recently and it flopped for some reason. I don't know, maybe they didn't publicize in the right places? I have tried going to some of the regular old BC support groups but have never felt comfortable enough revealing my sexuality, being surrounded by older women or younger women who are married with children. It really does suck. Glad to hear you're in remission too! Hang in there!

Just thought I would let you know that you are not alone. I, too, have had the same treatment.....I still have no feeling in my right arm. I am currently having problems with my post chemo. I have a bad rash and one under my arm. My Dr. told me it is thrash......All I know is it  hurts like Hell......I am worried about my arm.( I serve .....that is how I make my living.)   I wonder how my arm is going to be after all this....I am TRIPLE NEGATIVE and hopefully have had my last treatment...It helps me to hear from women like you who are in remission. I am sooooo happy for you...I, too, am here for you as well....My name is Lesa but they call me Alabam......Nice to meet you.....

Masser, you are also welcome to check in on the lymphedema section here at breastcancer.org.  There are some women who participate daily who are among the tops experts around -- they also started their own website about LE.  They have been invaluable help for me and all of us there in the Sisterhood of the Swell know what its like to deal with these long term problems.
