Pomegranates - Ellgic Acid

I just heard on Fox News and the ACS reported about a study suggesting that pomegranates have an effect on breast cancer cells. If I'm understanding correctly, pomegranates contain ellgic acid which acts as an aromatase inhibitor. Guess the originators of the study had some success with their studies. Has anyone else heard of this, and if so, can you direct me to further research on this topic? Thanks, Marilynn

For a full 3 years before my dx, I was drinking pomegranate juice every single day.

That was my scientific experiment that proved it didn't do anything to prevent ES+/PR+ breast cancer.

Thanks to both of you for the information. I am going to check out the links. I have a difficult time on aromatase inhibitors - severe spasticity in my muscles - so, this idea of the pomegranate juice is very interesting to me. Thanks again to both of you. Marilynn
