New lump

Options

I had DCIS and BM with reconstruction in June of 2009.  Yesterday I noticed some painful area and a lump under the effected breast.  I don't even know what this area is called - the chest wall I guess or else?  The lump is about an inch in diameter and is movable.

I will see my BS next Wednesday, but until that time I am on my own with my fears.  Does anyone have any similar experiences?

Appreciate.

Awwwwww!  I am so sorry.  I wish that I could be of some help, here.  I know the fear that you feel (as we all do) at every bump, lump, ache, etc....   Just sending a big ((HUG)) to you and a prayer for continuing good health and peace.

    Hi,

This may well be scar tissue either from the surgery or rads (if you had that).

Try to remain positive, I still get aches and feel lumpy scar tissue from my lumpectomy over four years ago!!

They tend to cut/damage some nerves which can give us ongoing pain in these area's and hopefully thats all you're feeling.

Thank you all for your support!  I am going to see my family doctor in an hour and will hopefully have some good news.  I am afraid I may break in tears even before my Dr. says anything.

    Hugs to everyone!

My family doctor doesn't think it's something to worry about and advised to take some Advil.  He thinks that I got some inflammation from exercising. That made me feel better emotionally, but I am cautious to cheer until l see my BS on Wednesday.
