      News Flash.  Tonight's the night for the Twillight Zone Marathon on the SciFi channel....244 here in OH.  It will also be going all day tomorrow for those of you who don't watch football.  They just had the Kick the Can one where the people from the nursing home turned back into children.  I have seen some of these over and over and still love them.  You are now entering another dimension, a dimension  of not only sight and  sound, but of mind.....Next stop, The Twilight Zone.    As you have probably gathered, no New Year's Eve parties on my agenda this evening. 

Okay, this shows what's on my mind right now.  I read Marybe's intro as "Hot Flash."

We played Wii all evening last night.  Wish I had known about the TZ marathon.  It would have been a hard decision as to what I would have been doing last night.

How about "The man from Glad"?

The Ajax man on the white horse, "Ajax, laundry detergent, stronger than dirt."

How about Woodsy owl-"Give a hoot, don't pollute".  Speaking of owls, who else made those macrame owls that were wall hangings? You would unravel the body part so it would be fluffy. I loved those owls.

And this jingle-"Your very good friend, the heart association, wants to lend a word to the wise, watch your diet, watch your weight, don't smoke and don't forget to exercise.

I don't remember that one. (Different area?)  I do remember "Please, please, don't be a Litterbug."  That campaign in the 60's has stuck with me my entire life. 

Oh, HIM!  Yes, I do remember that!

There was a song that sang his name-"smokey the bear, smokey the bear...". That is probably why I too thought "the" was his middle name. I don't remember the lines after his name, but the last 2 went something like..."he could stop a fire, before it starts to flame, that's why we call him smokey, and that's how he got his name"

And I remember how sad I felt for the Indian on the horse with the tear. I had no idea who he was.

Love's Baby Soft perfume and Noxzema on a sunburn.  Isn't it funny how smells bring back memories?

Then there's the lucky rabbits foot key chain.  How discussing is it to carry a dead animal's foot around?

I had click clacks.  I think mine were the same color as the ones in the picture.  My Grandparents bought them for us at the County Fair.  My mom took ours away, something about them being dangerous and illeagal.  I wonder.....

Ohhh....remember Joe Namath wearing pantyhose?  Something like:  If Joe's legs can look this great, imagine how YOURS will look...(can't remember the exact words).  Was it Hanes pantyhose??  I LOVED that guy back in the day...sigh.
