Newfoundland
Anyone out there from Newfoundland. I've just been dx with stage iv breast cancer. A small spot on my breast bone. I have two small children, the light of my life and the reason for my fight. This is so damn shitty> I cant believe after going around once, life would be so mean as to hit you with it again. Wondering if anyone in Newfie are on these boards.

Hey Dawn,
Yes I am here as well. I am so sorry to hear about your dx, but with two small children you have even more reason to fight this s....y disease. Try to stay positive for them and especially for yourself. Surround yourself with a good support team........family, friends, co-workers, or keep coming here. Even though I have not participated in many conversations, I have learned more from these women than anywhere else.
Where in NL are you from? I am from the west coast. If you feel like talking pm me, I'll give you my #.

hello
i too am from nfld.my wife was dx in july of 08 with stage iv tumors on her chest wall .on the dec 3rd this year she was having balance problems and referred to a ent specialist who thought it might be an inner ear infection but to be cautious he ordered a ct .well you guessed it lesions on the brain.she underwent wbrt and steroids and is currently going thru the process of starting the new drug combination of tykerb and xeloda.we are hopeful praying that this tx will work.it has been a really ruff month of dec as well as the past 18 months .she is pretty depressed and i am trying to stay positive but it is a bitter pill to swallow .i have found a lot of info here and everyone seems to be pulling in the same direction.cancer sucks big time .i goto chat sometimes specially when i hit a low point.there has to be better days ahead .
