I am a SURVIVOR, thank God and wish all here the best and healthiest that New Year 2010 can offer!!

Just to share a bit about me: I've had "the whole works": From Oct 2007 to August 2008: Mammo (it was my annual one) a biopsy via ultrasound,  a "confirmation" MRI, then chemo, then a mastectomy ...and radiation.  WHEW!!

My son IS/was my rock and hero ...taking me back and forth to chemo...waiting--with my daughter in-law, as I underwent the surgery.

He wrote and sang a rap song ---titled "The Brink" that told of his love and admiration for me as well as his fear of losing me.

He's 33... a corporate professonal,...Master's educated and a WONDERFUL person!!

He e-mailed the song to me, about 18 months after my full recovery, letting me know that he could not do so before, because he was too emotional.

I've been to numerous support groups, talk with my therapist, worked while receiving chemo (except for the days when I just couldn't make it out of bed--in the heart of Winter (2007/2008)---in New York City.

I now stretch every morning (10-15 minutes) to ward off the aches/pains of the Arimidex side effects.

I also take 5,000 units of Vitamin D --on an "on and off" regimen that the oncologist recently prescribed.

I also take a multi-vitamin, an omega three combo tablet and 1200 mgs --daily --of calcium.

I laugh, dance, travel, go to work, write to express my feelings--- and try (HARD) to stay clear of stress (Let's be real: How hard/easy is THAT??).Wink

**Sigh**  I DO wish my husband---who passed away, 4 years ago, this month, was still here, with me and my family.Cry

But ...since we "can't have everything", so to speak, I'm grateful ---and strive for peace, great health --and joy... every day...and I sincerely wish the same for EVERYONE reading this.

Take care...be well...LaughingKiss
