Liver?

Options

I am 3 1/2 yrs out of stage 1 node negative IDC ER PR + Her2-.  I had a lumpectomy and radiation and am still on arimidex.  Lately I have had severe reflux and upper abdominal pain.  My PCP sent me to a gastroenterologist who is doing an endoscopy and colonoscopy Jan 20th.  Is this the right direction to go, or does this sound like it could be liver mets?  I am very worried and wonder if anyone can suggest an answer.

I agree with Lisa -- I remember before I had my gall bladder out (this was ages ago) the pain was so bad and central in my chest I thought it was my heart.

Liver mets is often only found via a scan -- you don't know that you have it.  If there is pain, it would be more on your right side around the bottom of your rib area.  I think your PCP is going in the right direction and that it is not liver mets at all.

Thank you both.  On a prior scan, I had what they called "gall bladder sludge"--I will ask to have my gall bladder investigated.  The human body is so mysterious, but I am glad we have each other and the internet as resources.

Before I had my gallbladder removed, I got heartburn after drinking water!  I also felt like a stake was being driven into my back and coming out my heart while a lead balloon was blowing up in my stomach.  Not fun.  I hope they find the find the source of your discomfort and you can get some relief!!  Best to you :>
