I finished chemo back on April 1st since then have seemed totally healthy. However in the last week on the right side of my neck starting just below & behind my ear I have an area of my neck that hurts. I don't know if it could simply be a kink in my neck but I would think that would get better daily not worse. I have no other symptoms. I don't know if there is anything in this area to get a recurrence in other then maybe lymph nodes. Any ideas or thoughts?? Do I make an appointment or wait for my next one which is mid January. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I know many of us on this board follow the 2 week or more rule...if it hurts that long then get it checked out.  It is probably nothing, but the stress of not knowing is awful so I would make an appointment just so you can rest easy :>   I had neck pain and spasms that were from a vitamin deficiency caused by chemo.  I think you will be fine, but please have it checked out if you are worried and keep us updated!   Best to you!!  lisa

It has been there about 2 weeks so far (I usually follow the 2 week rule too) but it gets a little worse then a little better back & forth. My appointment is mid January I don't want to go int here like a crazy lady so I will wait it out I think. Has anyone ever had recurrence in this area? Could it be anything other then lymph nodes? Think I am ok to wait until mid January? Thanks for the reply it helps. :)

What does your gut say about waiting?? That is what I usually go by at the 2 week mark.
