Welcome to the club.
Merry Christmas indeed. I wrote a post last night that might bring you some comfort. I posted it on the Stage IV forum here, under the WOMEN OF FAITH thread.
I copied the whole post to my blog. It may be as easy to find it there:

It is about the worship last night at our church, entitled "Blue Christmas."
We are an amazing group of women -- you are in good hands.
So glad you found us.
That is your present.

Bless your heart, what a cruddy day to get the news. I had a few days of shell shock and feeling sorry for myself, we all need to do that. Then I found this site and started reading and learning. Then I started my appointments with surgeon and oncologist, lots of tests and decisions to make about surgery. After the first couple of days my life was like a whirl-wind of appointments and decisions; it's stressful but nice because it doesn't allow much time to dwell on the situation; you just get in this mind set of "I have do do this, this and this to get past this, time to get to it". I just got my news on November 9th, in that time I've had PET scan, CAT scan, MRI, several surgeon appts, several oncologist appts, lumpectomy, dran removal and on and on. I have a little break this week and the next two weeks then I'm back at it, pre-surgery appt on a Monday, consult with chemo nurse on Tuesday, port implant on Wednesday, first chemo on Thursday, Neulasta shot on Friday.
This breast cancer sucks, there's no doubt about that, but give yourself the time you need to grieve, be angry, cry and all of that, it's part of it. Then get at it and fight, fight, fight!!!
I know it will be hard but try to have a nice Christmas, don't let this beast ruin that day for you.
