I've just been reading some of the ILC posts and noticed that most of you are HER2 -ve. Is there anyone else like me with Grade 3 HER2+ve ER+ve PR+ve ILC? My onc did say I was unusual.

I'm ILC triple positive.  I have noticed that it seems like an unusual diagnosis.

Glad I'm not the only one. I thought about getting a second opinion on the pathology. I do know I was lucky it showed up on a mammogram. My hormone receptors were really high 90% and 95%. The oncologist says that lobular is good as it tends to spread to the other breast before spreading distantly.

My sister, I am her support person, is ER+/PR+... still waiting on the HER2/neu test results.  She was only diagnosed, the day before Thanksgiving..  I didn't know you could get a % for hormone receptors... She was told a couple of days ago, after a breast MRI that there were two 'satellite' small masses off the primary tumor.  She has also teste postive for cancer in atleast 1 lymph node.

Diagnosis: 11/24/09, ILC, 2.5 cm, (find out stage on Friday)

loretta: Sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis. When the HER2 status comes in, get a copy of the pathology report and you should find the percentages listed. The higher the number, the more receptive which means hormone therapies tend to work a little more effectively.

Triple positive here as well -- I guess I'd rather be triple positive than triple negative.

Thanks Survivor07 - now I know I'm not alone if there are 2 of you :)

I actually think I'm lucky to be triple positive - trying to make good of a bad situation.
