    hey Apple!  miss you!

I totally agree about the hostess gift!  Are you guest-free now?  How 'bout for Christmas?  Are you having guests then?

Prayers for Julia from me too... she's ALWAYS in my prayers.

    Just saying hello too!

Michele - hope your issues get resolved fast. Are you taking time off over christmas?

Apple - some people are so rude. Really, I don't know what they are thinking.  I have one BIL who is as lasy as anything - anytime he stays here he sits around expecting me to wait on him. Wonder why he hasn't got a wife!!

Judy - great you will be getting more jobs soon!  Hope the meeting goes well today!

Not much from me - I have my first Breast Ultrasound after Dx on Wednesday - not getting a Mammo at the same time, as I have to go somewhere else at a different time for that. Go figure. Little anxious....

Kerry~  I'm the vet on-call for the whole Christmas break.  I don't have to go in all day everyday though... just handle emergencies.  {{{hugs}}} on the ultrasound.  I hate scanxiety.  Let us know ASAP!!

i just run a nonstop hotel it seems.

what i don't appreciate is people booking it for me.  waah waah waah.    my latest guest is so unusually dependent.. 'could you get me a cup of coffee?  wtf?  (like i wouldn't offer one).. she brought her au pair with her this time.. i thought, maybe I'll have some help setting up the beds.. all she talks about it HERself and her special methods of raising her daughters.  I'm being bad.  her husband just left her... and i should have more sympathy.

i have 8 brothers and sisters and so does my husband....my siblings each have 5 kids.  30 grandkids in all.  We built our house right next to the house my husband grew up in... and he built another house for his dad back in the back part of the block.  We are the perfect situation for numerous parties and reunions.. i can't believe I'm complaining.  I'm so lucky.    That's what i get for being a good cook.

    waaah waaah waaah.

you all  are invited anytime you trip through KC... just make a reservation ahead of timeSmile

Furies ~ The MRI was clear as the onc expected, but I was still greatly relieved to hear him say it.  The dizziness continues, but I've found that Xanax pretty much knocks it out.

Jamie ~ Thanks for letting me know you're in touch with Webbie.  Your hair looks so cute!  I'm sorry you're still dizzy.  What lovely pics of such a precious little baby!  Congratulations, Aunt Jamie!

Kerry ~ I hope Emily had a great birthday!  Love the Santa pic; your children are so sweet.  You're in my prayers for your ultrasound.  I hope the scanxiety stays at managable levels. *hugs*

apple ~ Your hair is cute, too.  You've been trimming yours, right?  I haven't cut mine except for some weird strands growing down my neck.  So sorry about the ratty relatives; at least they're gone now.

Michelle ~ Praising God for clear scans!!  Bradley looks so much like you, and girl, I can't believe how long your hair is!!  Real bangs and everything!  The Toy Bowl sounds wonderfully exciting.

Judy ~ Your tree is beautiful.  It looks terrific in the bay window.

I've bought one Christmas gift and ordered two more.  I'm really lagging behind!

    Love to everyone!

Kerry I hope your Ultrasound goes without a hitch.

Judy~ Julia is in my prayers....Oh and still no Christmas shopping...how about that for being Lazy...lol..  I have been working so it will all get done Smile

Artemis~ I am still Dizzy and actually went today for a brain MRI.  Now the wait starts.  Oh you are joining us in the Christmas slackers club...

Apple~ So we need reservations and a hostess gift,,,,check :)

So today I went to the oncologist office for herceptin, followed by the ENT Dr.  The ENT thinks that my eustation (sp) are blocked and it is what is causing my dizziness but stated it would be a good idea to have a brain MRI eventually.  So while walking back to my car I figured I would stop and find out what the wait was for a brain MRI.  Well I always get lost at the hospital since they are always doing construction and the woman an employee on the elevator asked me where I was going and come to find out she is a tech who does the MRI.  She told me that they would be happy to use my port and got me an appt. an hour later.  Then came getting the order my onc. acted like he never said that he would do one (he was the first who wanted to order it) and the ENT doctor was at his other office so it took a while.  So it took a while but it is now done and I wait for the MRI results.  My oncologist actually said call tomorrow to get your all clear results...

So now I start on a nasal spray and then I have a head CT on January 4 but it is without contrast so it shouldn't be that bad.  I just want the lightheaded feeling to go away.

I hope everyone is doing well.  I have a couple more sessions before Christmas still. :)  I do love my job :)

At one point someone on here said they were cold most of the time and I mentioned CuddleDuds which I think  they were going to look for.  Anyway, I saw them at Sam's Club this evening and they are probably cheaper there than at a dept store so if  you have a Sam's you can get them there. Don't know about the weather where you all live, but it is definitely time for an extra layer here.   I am just sooo tired all the time these days and dont' know why.  We are pretty sure the aromasin I went on is not working since my tumor markers are going up, but other than being tired I actually feel better than I have for a long time....nails, hair, taste all back to normal and neuropathy is starting to fade away also....so we will see what the scans show.

Michele, they have me scheduled for Jan.4, but I think I will just call the hospital and set them up before the end of the month since we have met out deductible so may as well take advantage of that.  I don't wait for my onco or someone to call me on the scans, I just call the hospital and tell them I want them and usually I am able to get them the very next day.  I found this out by accident one time....called for something or other and they asked me if I wanted the results and I said oh, I am sure they aren't back yet and the person I was talking to said they were quite sure they had seen my name that morning and sure enough they were there.  Now I always go get a copy the next day....I don't understand every single term, but I know what stable and metastasis and nodules and things like that mean along with increase or decrease so I can at least tell if I am better, worse or no change.  I don't know if my doctor knows I do this or not.  I just had a scan of my heart about 1 month ago and it said everything was stable becasue for some reason whomever read it, not only looked at my heart, but compared to previous scans. I was very happy with this and took a copy to my onco, but there they told me I still need another CT as well as bone scan.   I tell you one thing, no more CAT scan dye for me.....the reaction last time lasted for days in spite of the premed.  Sorry to go on and on...by now you are sorry you asked.  I am not too nervous because I feel good and think that counts for a lot.

Jaimie - that toy is fabulous!! We got Emily Operation this year, she wanted it last year but I couldn't face it. Too close to home!! LOL!  HOPE you hear something today. I always say no news is good news.

Michele - take a couple of xanax for me today - I have my ultrasound and am a little anxious. I had a feel last night and felt all sorts of stuff, my husband can't feel anything....Grrrr.  I just think i had an MRI three months ago, so chances are they will find nothing, but still.

Marybe - good luck with your scans.  Hoping for lots of "decrease", or at the very least "stable"!

Kerry~ At work this am but if you're still worried tonight, I'll take one for the team.Tongue out  Let us know how it goes!

    Jaimie~ Still no results?? <grumble>

Marybe~  Smart idea to do them before the 31st.  I'm glad that you are not stressed about it.  How do you manage that??? I'm a nutcase with every scan, blood test, exam, etc.
