It is 14 months since my breast cancer surgery, 9 months since chemo and 7 months since radiotherapy, but i am still on herceptin and tamoxifen.  My white blood count and platelets have not recovered back to the normal zone, they recovered after chemo, but then i had radio and they have not recovered since then.  Anybody else had this problem, when did your immunity eventually improve?

this happened to me as well and onc's saidit was quite normal especially for triple positive.

If you are on Herceptin and an AI or Tamox they both can have an effect on WHite blood cells.

Mine have started to improve but not exactly normal.

    Hello Orange,

I am ER, PR +, HER2-. My platelets and white cells have remained depressed for four years now. That's the bad news. The good news is that while the quantity of my white cells may be low, evidently the quality of my immune system is good, as I work with pre-schoolers and never get sick. I have a tendency toward iron-deficiency anemia and as long as I address that I have absolutely no symptoms or adverse effects from low (<3) white blood cells and platelets that hover below the normal range. (Is hover below bad grammar?) I am on tamoxifen. </p>
