Need more testing
Well, went for my every six month Mammogram and was nervous to say the least, the technician kept having to do more pictures and doctor wanted to see better close up of one spot in my right breast so, now I need to have an ultra sound...she showed me the spot he is concerned about and it is rather large... I am glad they found it and doing something about it so, with nerves in tact I will have to wait and see how this all turns out. The left breast where they found the LCIS looks good she said...so that is good news.

So, so stressful! Especially at the holidays. Are you doing OK? When is your ultrasound? Why didn't they do it right away? I wish you the best and please keep us posted! We are here for you!!

I am doing Ok but, I am worried and trying not to show it....haven't told anyone but my husband till I know what is going on.
My ultra sound is being set up and they will call me and let me know when to come in....they are booked through Dec. she said....she felt really bad that I could not get it while I was there and this is our major hospital and breast cancer clinic....to think there are that many women waiting and wondering kinda puts things in perspective.
All I can do is wait and try not to think negative.
Thank goodness I have you all to come to...it is a secure feeling knowing there is someone that knows how you feel and what you are going through...wish we didn't have to have a place like this,,,,wouldn't that be great?
Thank you for just being there and I will keep you informed.
Bless you all.

Oh gad, liveit. Booked through December. I hope all the distractions around December will ease some of the anxiety. Keep us posted. As Kimber said, we are here for you!

Well, you will never guess what happen...I got a registered letter from the clinic and they want me to have a core biopsy of the left breast....I was shocked...when I had left the clinic they said my right breast was supicious and I needed an ulta sound and they would let me know when it was being set up...well, now I get this letter and I have not had that done before so, I called them to find out if maybe they had the wrong person and they said they had another doctor look at my films and he thinks the spot in the right breast is nothing and he is more concerned about the left breast...I asked if maybe it was the scar tissue from my other biopsy and he said no, this is new so. I am in utter shocked...I don't know what to think or feel...I am calling my regular doctor tomorrow and try to find out what is going on...I am so confused...how does it go from being the right to the left and they did all those extra pictures of the right and not the left? Oh, they can't do it till the 21st of Dec...I'm a mess right now.

Please don't worry -I have had both sides give me trouble...it is scary, but try to think positive. Most of these suspicious findings are benign!!!

I bet there were imaging issues for all the extra pictures on the right - it can be hard to tell what is going on when a lesion is near the surface of the breast - trying to interpret a 2D film that is really 3D. Its like trying to read what is on a clear ballon when the writing is on the other side and edge of the balloon.
If you look at the site http://www.radiologyassistant.nl/en/4793bfde0ed53 you can get an idea how hard it can be to interpret mammograms.
We all want to be prepared for whatever is ahead. Better to catch something now if something is going on than to catch it later. The roller coaster is awful, but hang in there. We all are all here for you.

Thank you all so much...I am thinking positive and trying not to let the waiting get to me.
I talked to my doctor and she told me basicaly the same as you guys...You are right it is better to get what ever is in there checked and taken care of but I want to go in early and see the films and see what they are talking about, they have already agreed to do this for me.
I saw the right side films and the spot they were talking about and it was quite large so that is why I am so concerned that now they say the left and not the right.
I am also upset because my breast cancer doctor left with out saying a word so now I have to look for a new doctor.
Again thank you all for just being there...love and many blessing.
