Mets to joint?

Options

I know you can have mets to bones. Is that only 'long' bones, or can you get mets to bones in joints also? I thought I had heard that it's only in the long bones. So I've attributed trouble with my hip and knee to Arimidex, but now I'm wondering if I should bring those up to my onc....

Thanks - Minz

    Minz,

What you are describing could easily be attributed to Arimidex.  How long have you been having issues?  When is your next appointment?  Start writing down your symptoms (time of day, days per week, pain level 1-10, etc.) and if they persist for more than two weeks, talk to your doctor.  I hear a lot of ladies here having those issues with Arimidex, but talk to your doctor to put your mind at ease.

I don't think one gets mets to the knee.  I think it's most likely the Arimidex.  If it becomes too worrisome talk to your onc about it.

Bone mets from bc usually only go as far as the hip as far I'm aware!

Ask your one if it continues for more than two weeks but it sounds like something else.

Bone mets can go to the femur bone, also.
