Thirteen rads to go then I'm done, done, done, at least  until March when I go for a follow up mammo and mri.  The mri  I had before my lumpectomy saw extensive background enhancement and enhancement in numerous foci in both breasts.  They don't know if these findings are benign or possibly more dcis and that is why the follow up, to look for stability or change.  Well, I have decided that I'm done with this cancer thing and the "enhancements" in my breasts are benign.  I feel sooo much better since I've decided that.  I sure hope that holds true,

Good for you Carol. Glad you are forgetting about cancer for awhile. I hope it is forever but after you have been diagnosed I don't think you can ever "forget".

Between now and March gives you time to study up on DCIS and decide how you want to proceed IF there are any changes on your MRI or mammo. I hope there aren't but now you have time to really think before you react. I didn't spend my time learning and I regret it. Use your time wisely and you will never be sorry.

    Good luck to you.

Thanks baywatcher.  Yeah, I'll be studying up on DCIS...I know that if I don't get the "all clear" my next step will be a different one from the lumpectomy I had and I  want to be prepared.  At least this time, I'll have the time to learn...not like when I was first diagnosed...things happened quickly after that...my head is still spinning ;-)
