Sorry for the confusion but I had problems with my post on top so I had to take this 2nd space to post my qustion.......

When I was initially diagnosed with stage T1MIC (DCIS with less than 1mm of a microinvation) bc in Febuary 08', my oncologist ordered  a baseline CT scan of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis and all was normal. I also had a baseline bone scan which was normal. Since my initial diagnosis I have had repeat CT scans a year ago and had my last bone scan in March of  09' for other aches and pains, they were all normal.  I know before having BC, I would have dismissed many of my aches and pains but not anymore however, I try to wait it out before I cry wolf in a manner of speaking.

This is my worst and latest saga:

I need advice on some pain that I have been feeling in my entire left hip area. The pain started shortly after I started doing yoga (I did hip stretches to open the hips) simutaneously I also started working out on a weight machine that require pulling and pushing of weight that work out your back end and hips etc. Now for the past 4-5 weeks I have had front hip, back hip, joint & socket, rear end area, upper leg pain the radiates with sensations of pulling, burning, shooting, tingeling, throbbing, to just plain pain. Any type of motion/activity such as walking & standing relieve the pain. Any type of inactivity such as sitting & especially laying down intensify the pain dramatically. I started physical therapy but is not helping and the therapist tells me that I feel tight in my hip area. I'm taking some herbal anti-inflammaratories(suggested by my naturalpath) and at times Motrin which only help moderately. When googleing I learned that there can be soooo many causes of hip pain but at this point I am very nervous and the fear of mets is starting to consume me. Can anyone offer advice on whether or not this sounds like bone mets?

Not a doctor here, but, I have developed a spectrum of aches and pains in my hip joint, thigh and knee area in the past few weeks....because I have been running and training for years, it completely scared me because I never had an ache before.  I thought it was bone mets too.  But the aches went away, and returned in a different form, depending on my work out.  I realized it was more than likely due to exercise and tried not to panic.  In your case, because you have such broad reaching aches, it sounds like you have overstretched and injured your tendons and ligaments.  If it was a bone issue, the pain wouldn't travel so much.  Ligaments and tendons also take a long time to heal, longer than a broken bone in most cases, so your symptoms will linger.  Try not to panic, but pay attention to any focal pain that is unrelenting...that is not what you are having, so, you are probably having a stress injury.  The fact that your pain goes away with movement is a clue--that it is not bone related.  Bone pain doesn't usually change.

Tricia- yes, you did answer my question in another forum....Thank you so much.

MsBliss- it's incredible that once I've have cancer, that any new ache or pain that doesn't go away withing a few weeks makes my mind wonder. B/4 I would just dismiss the aches and pains and deal with them.  The 2 weeks rule doesn't work for me b/c my aches and pains usually last longer than that and eventually resolve with in a few months not weeks.  Since teen years, I have been an brisk walker and runner along with some free weights and some regular (not yoga)  pre and post work out stretches which have always done me wonders. I have heard that yoga is a great for stress relief and increases flexibility but I must be the exception or may be I tried too hard.   Thank you for your input, it's very much appreciated.
