my name is leah.  i was orginally diagnosed with tn bc in jan 2008 left breast.  lumpectomy and 14 nodes removed (1 positive). treated with AC and taxol then 6.5 weeks of radiation.  feb. 2009 found node in supraclavicular (right side). quickly spread to liver.  i have been on navelbine and avastin (worked in my nodes...liver was flourishing with cancer).  went from that to clinical trial at Dana farber with PARP inhibitor and cisplatin...disease continued to progress..and i was take off the trial.  from there i took xeloda...disease continued to progress.  i have been on gemzar for 5-6 weeks.  3 new tumors in my breast and my liver is huge.  what do i do next???  i am having more bad days than good!....any suggestions would be so welcome.  i am having scans on monday and a long, difficult talk with my oncologist on wed.  HELP!

Leah, unfortunately I can't help you with your question -- hopefully some others will be along shortly to post -- but I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you are going through all this. It seems very unfair to have such recurrences when you have thrown so much at this wretched disease! You sound like a fighter, Leah, and hopefully your oncologist can add another weapon to your arsenal. I'll be thinking of you over the weekend -- Wednesday must seem like forever away! <<<<<HUGS, girl>>>>

Hi Leah. I just wanted to suggest that you go to the Triple Negative BC Foundation site: http://forum.tnbcfoundation.org/.  They have some goods forums there, including one for women dealing with metastatic triple negative. Many of the women there have a lot of experience and knowledge and may have something helpful to tell you. I wish you the best. Rena
