Thanks rinna 40...I just voted. I saw a poster about Cottage Dreams a few weeks ago when I was at a medical appointment here in Ottawa, and thought it sounded like a wonderful program.

It sounds like a great program to me too although I am unlikely to use it. The site asked me to register to vote, so I did.

Thanks Leslie. I'm signed up for next summer, and hopefully will get picked. Even if not, I'm sure that many will enjoy it.

I've already voted and I DID take advantage of it this summer. We had a beautiful cottage on a quiet lake in Penetanguishene for 5 days this summer. When we arrived the cottage owners were there to show us around. What lovely people. We felt like we were their friends and felt so welcome.
We felt very blessed to have been picked.

I'm glad that you got to enjoy a week away. I hope if I get picked it will be a little farther away as I live in Midland!! Thanks for voting.

Yeah, Rinna not much of a trip for you! We went into Midland a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a beautiful main street. Lucky you for living there!
I hope you get picked.

Hey Rinna, I've seen the website for cottage dreams, it's a great cause! I've often thought of possibly using our cottage for such a purpose but, it's no palace, just a place to go hang your hat. Hope you get picked too! If not, maybe I can help you out!

Thanks Crazydaisy. I'm told that they start to interview in the new year. So I have my fingers crossed.

Well good luck to you! By the way, I love Midland! My girlfriend is near there on georgian bay....beautiful spot near the marine railway! Hope all the healing issues are getting better for you.

Thanks Viv. The healing is done, I guess. The cosmetic results are not great, which is very frustrating when all I really needed was the lumpectomy, and it looked pretty good after the first surgery. Midland is great, and currently covered in our first little snow.
