Thanks for being here.
Trish
-
Thanks, Jess. Hope you are well.
Congrats Trish!
Take care ladies.
-
Congrats americanpinay - great news.
Bette hang in there - put yourself first - try to get some rest.
I'll be retaking blood tests after the New Year, going to let it go until then. Hang in there everyone!
-
Thanks Ozzi. Good luck on the blood tests.
-
Hey. Just got a surprise call my doc wants an mri of my chest. I know it's routine, but i thought I had a bit more time before it---Jan 2010.....Yikes. Here I go again!
-
Jess...I know it's two months from now but I wanted to wish you good luck on the chest MRI...hopefully, you won't have scanxiety in the meantime...I almost jumped when my med onco mentioned that we'll do another PET/CT in three to four months...he wants to watch a small, mildly hypermetabolic node in my neck...yikes...will this ever end??? I guess, I should be really thankful that my med onco is very proactive...
Take care y'all.
-
Thanks Americanpinnay--I guess I meant doc wants it next week and not Jan 2010. I will try not to worry...... Ha!!!
-
hey Jess, those surprise phone calls are great - aren't they. Take a deep breath - routine testing - all will be well. . . .
-
Oh, ok...sorry I got confused (BTW, this happens a lot, I blame chemo and Tamox) about the timing, Jess...good luck next week then..will be praying for you...
-
Well, I have to wait for the mri until I have the tissue expander out. i wondered about that!!! They assumed mine te was out when the doc wanted to schedule my mri. The powerful magnet of the mri would totally mess with my te since there is a magnet in it!!! Guess I'm gonna have the apt in Jan like I though!!!!
-
Ouch - absolutely the tissue expander has to come out! January is good. . . . . . . . . put it aside and enjoy the holidays . . . . . . . .
-
If you all can click on Bette's Caring Bridges site. Her address is posted there I am sure she would enjoy a card from you and lots of prayer's. Her husband Tom has set a goal for 1000 cards.
-
Hello everyone. Still waiting! Any good stories out there? Oh, I sat around and ate candy all weekend. Yuck, but good at the same time!
-
I'm waiting for results on an MRI after one suspicious area on a bone scan.
Terrified but trying to be brave and think positive:)
-
TriciaK--My thoughts are with you. I am sending positive cyber, healing and calming thoughts your way.
-
Thanks Jess, the waiting is soo hard. I'll keep you posted and thanks again:)
-
TriciaK - yes the waiting is hard, but we can do it! I'm waiting to hear the final path report after my left mastec. last Tuesday. They say all is fine, but would definitely have been cancer in the near future. IF there was already something....it will mean another surgery for auxillary node dissection. But, I'm thinking positive and trusting God that all will be negative at this point.
Thinking of all of you here.....waiting and waiting and waiting. Let's think positive thoughts together to make the wait go faster!
-
2hands4me,
Thanks for responding, I really hope all goes well for you and am thinking only benign results:)
-
Hello triciaK and 2hands4me I hope you both have a nice weekend. I am eating popcorn and throwing pieces at my dog. She now does about four tricks, usually right in a row and she is wag her lab tail do wildly it is difficult to discern her trick. What a hoot!
-
Hi TriciaK and 2hands4me.
Thinking of you both - sending a prayer your way that all is well. Jess, thanks for the suggestion, got Bette's address will send out a card tomorrow.
-
Hey everyone. I have been having persistant thoracic back pain for a while now and am having a T-spine MRI tomorrow. I am currently on Taxol/Herceptin. I have one more Taxol treatment before a planned bilateral MRM but am 100% convinced I have bone mets. I really hope I am wrong.
Tricia and 2hands4me, I hope you both get good news!
-
Lori,
Im glad your onc has ordered the necessary tests/scans. Good luck tomorrow....and lots of B9 thoughts for you!
-
All OK and so thankful! Return to onc in 3 months to set up screening schedule - until then, recover and resume activities.
Still thinking of everyone here!
-
Lori, thinking about you - a prayer goes out to you. . . . Remember Taxol causes pain also .. . . . . . let us know!
-
Thats great newa 2hands4me, you must be so relieved:)
Thinking of you Lori with everything crossed!
My pet scan is arranged for Monday as they had to delay it a few days when I fell ill with a gastric bug this week:( Soo still waiting ho de hum.......
Tricia xx
-
2hands4me- glad you got great news!
Tricia- sorry you are still waiting. It seems like you have been waiting forever :-(
I had my thoracic MRI today. The tech said "The scans look good. Do you want a copy on cd?" So of course now I am analyzing what this means. Does that mean they are good technical scans or that they looked clean, no mets? I know the techs are not radiologists but they see enough of these scans to have a pretty good idea. I would expect, other than mets, that since I am young there wouldn't be too much else to look at in my thoacic spine (ie, not a lot of arthrtis or bulging discs, etc) Anyway, I will hopefully get results monday.
Have a great weekend, everyone! Thanks!
-
Lori,
I don't know, but if they said that to me I'd still take it as good news and meaning NO bad news lol....thanks for the good wishes and here's hoping for good results for you too Monday:)
-
THis is good news, the techs won't say that unless it is good!
-
Hi all!
I got good news today in that my T-spine MRI did NOT show evidence of metastatic disease! Not sure what is causing my pain, still worried about a rib/shoulder lesion as the pain has progressed more laterally, but it definitely started in my thoracic spine so if that was clear I have hope that my rib/shoulder pain is just from overuse or something. (maybe lifting my two babies??)
Thanks for all the good thoughts and wishes. I will check in here frequently (still waiting for good news for you, Tricia). I also will be having a post-chemo/pre-surgery PET in a few weeks. That one will make me insane with fear, I am sure!
