Just thought I'd pop in and say I hope you did O.K. with your first chemo treatment today.  We who have had chemo will never forget that first treatment.  We will keep you in our thoughts.  G.

    Gitane,

I am sorry it took so long for me to spot your post! Thank you so much. I started TAC on Nov 2 and am now feeling fine...just in time for my next chemo on Monday.  Wink The worse part was killer hearburn that started the 3rd day. Nothing seemed to help it except time. My onc has prescribed Prilosec ahead of the next round of TAC, so I am hoping it will go better. The worse part was the worry about SE's, especially heart damage from the adriamycin. Now that I have found that exercise is the best prevention, I will get up and move even more and sooner.

I am just so grateful for you and all the sharing on these boards. It is not a matter of "misery loves company." It is "strength in numbers!"

Hi sueinfl,  Thanks for letting me know how you are doing.  Wow, the SEs are the pits.  I never heard that exercise was the best prevention when I got Adriamycin.  Thinking back,  I'm not sure how much I could have acted on that.  I remember sleeping a lot.  Hopefully the Prilosec will solve the heartburn.  It sounds like you are holding up through all of this.  You have one treatment behind you.  For some people, getting past that first treatment helps lower the fear factor.  We are here to help.  Come share, complain, swear, stomp, etc. We know what it's like!  Sending strength.... G.
