I took the survey (it's a very short one). One of the questions is:

If your physician recommends that you stop breast self exams, how likely are you to follow the recommendation?

MY RESPONSE:

MY BREAST CANCER TUMORS WERE FOUND VIA A BREAST SELF EXAM AND THEN VERIFIED WITH A DIAGNOSTIC MAMMOGRAM AT THE AGE OF 45!

HAD I NOT DONE A BSE - NO DOUBT - MY PROGNOSIS WOULD BE HORRIBLE!

AT THAT POINT, THE CANCER BEAST HAD ALREADY INFILTRATED MY SENT NODE.

JMO - I think it would be great if all of us would let them know how ridiculous - the recommendation concerning bse's - really is.

I too took it. I think there needs to be another servey showing a more realistic effect.

They aren't asking the right questions. They should ask, " CAN YOU AFFORD TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN MAMMO IF INSURANCE ISN'T REQUIRED TO" not just "will you listen to the guidelines".

I agree Little C - they weren't asking the right questions and then you didn't get many options of how you would respond. Typical - limit the way we respond so that they can crunch the numbers to how they want them to read. I did put in a comment at the end.
