21 or 22 of Nov works for me. I am from Worcester, Sue
-
How about December 5 or 6? I have commitments the weekend of the 21st and then it's Thanksgiving weekend. Does anyone have a restaurant recommendation in Westborough/Framingham area?
This is exciting!

I am also busy the next few weekends also. Returning to work next week, Thanksgiving and DH birthday and then it's Dec. Is anyone else in TX @ present?? I just started Taxol after 4-AC so also hope will keep feeling OK. If I can't make this one maybe after Holidays could plan another date. Keep me posted. 495 works for me also though!! Really would love to meet everyone!! Joan
-
Ladies: December 5th I have an evening commitment. The 21st I think is OK. Let me know what you ladies decide!
mrsb45: I'm finished, but it looks like I had the same chemo protocol. Taxol was harder for me than the AC, but that isn't so for many, so you may find it easier. Let me know if can answer any Qs. Best of luck - you'll do it!
Be good to you -
-
HOpe I'm not too late, I would like to join in, I'm in Newburyport originally from Lawrence. Of course if old man winter makes a show on that day, I'll catch you all at the next gathering.
-
Hi there, I can do the 21st and Dec 5 or 6. Looking forward to meeting you all!
-
hi girls,

just a thought....would an after the holidays get together work out better for everyone--this is a busy time of year.

I just found this thread, and would love to get together. I am in Mansfield. Did a date and location get decided?
-
Hi all,
I'm not available Sat 11/21 but am on Sunday/22nd.
I'm also available the following weekend (11/28 & 29), but after that I'm pretty tied up on weekends.
We should pick a location determined by those who can make it. I had suggested Westborough because it seemed like an easy access (Mass Pike & 495) point for people coming from western Mass and the north. Another thought is off RT 128/95, perhaps somewhere between Burlington & the Mass Pike. Any and all suggestions are welcome, please chime on in!
Hi Jean, happy to hear of your Bengal. Mine is from Boulder Ridge Bengals in Grey, Maine. He's 3 and is quite the devil. Unfortunately he has to stay indoors because of a high coyote population in my neighborhood, he'd be so much happier outside :-{ . We named him "Me and My Shadow", (aka Shads) because from day one he followed us everywhere! Not much of a lap cat though.
I just added email notification for this thread and will keep tabs on who can make it.
-
I can make either date. does anyone have any idea what the plan is? are we meeting for lunch somewhere...........Sue
-
How about January?? As Ellie said, this is a busy time of the year. I'm anxious to meet all of you but maybe we should wait? What'ya think?
-
I am ok with waiting til January or doing it now--- will go with the majority
-
I am not sure if I can make it this weekend. I am having my second treatment tomorrow and don't know what shape I will be in this weekend. I will keep track of time and place and see how I feel. Hopefully we can do it more than once and I can join in another time if I miss.
Glostagirl. our cat is only part bengal. I can't even imagine how active a full breed is. He came to us with the name Bubba. It didn't take long to realize a name that sounded like a lazy, fat cat would never fit. His name is Taz (for tazmania devil). He is only cuddly when he so chooses...for some reason loves my son's lap. Go figure he likes the person in the house who doesn't feed him or change the box!!!!
take care, Jean
-
It is a busy time, I agree with that!
If we wait until January, and put the date out there soon it would give people time to plan, more gals would have the opportunity to join in, etc....
We hadn't really said what the plan was as far as meeting for lunch, drinks and dinner, etc.... Perhaps there's a breast cancer event happening that we could all meet at. How about snowshoeing, a winter hike, meet for dinner and a show in Boston?
In the mean time we could get to know one another better and perhaps attract more to our group. I personally would love to also meet people who live closer and have a mini-meet!
-
How about January 16 or 17? I know it sounds like a long time away, but we can all get to know each other and make decisions about where and what we'd like to do.

Jan 16 or 17 is fine for me (unless we get a huge snowstorm!!!)
-
LOL! It is Massachusetts!
-
Hi all -- I posted earlier--live in Arlington, MA. Jan 16 or 17 would be fine for me. Let's try to meet somewhere where it would be comfortable to just sit and talk for a long time if we want. Some place where they would not rush us out. Looking forward to it. I am leaving for Indonesia on December 15th to see my youngest of three sons. He lives there and is a journalist.
-
Wow, Chris, going to Indonesia is exciting. Your son sounds like he has a very interesting job!
This is great! We can do some research and find a place to accommodate us and not rush us out!
-
It is exciting to think about meeting local people. Somehow it seems good to see people in person, as well as through cyber space. My youngest son Peter is 30 and write for the Times and the International Herald Tribune. I went before 4 years ago, but I am not as strong as I was then. I have neuropathy from the chemo and am more tired. But I will do fine (hopefully). I am fairly addicted to this website. I don't post much, but I take comfort from everyone's journey and learn things from the postings that previously I had not really understood too well.
-
January sounds good.. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.. Will be exciting to meet everyone. Maybe a Sat or Sunday afternoon would be good..
-
Whatever works for the group will be fine with me. I do have AWD but never drive in an ice storm.
-
Sunday, January 17th would be fine for me. On the 16th I'm co-chairing a fund raiser for our Animal Shelter/Outreach Ministry for a local Chapel. It'll be a Book/Bake Sale (and I guess a lottery tree?). We are splitting the proceeds 50/50 and our Shelter is doing as much fund raising as we can!! The car pooling for South Shore folks sounds great to me. My crazy Sheltie has canine epilepsy and I medicate him four times a day, but I should be able to have my daughter do the medication(s) if I'm out with this Group!
-
i'm available either the 16th or 17th. i think this will be a nice pick me up after the "after holiday blues". jan and feb are such blah months. there are a few gals near me--so we can carpool. if you would like to get together beforehand--pm me. looking forward to meeting everyone!

sounds like January 17th works for everyone--- did I miss anyone??
so where should we meet (or did we already decide that?) forgive me-my mind is mush!!!
-
I'm in for January 17th!
This is really exciting!
-
I can be there on Jan 17. Now we have to find some place to meet and find something to do. I am not at all familiar with the Burlington area, altho I think there is a MALL there. Sue
-
I think there is a Rainforest Cafe in the Burlington Mall
-
the Burlngton Mall is just down the road from me, I live in Chelmsford. January sounds good to me also.
-
Burlington Mall is right off of 95.
